So, uh....

Should I come to this thing on the 5th? And then hang out with people and play games like Catan or something?

sheridan I dont think so. these tournaments are local so they are pretty small like what 10 ppl max? I usually dont make it.

Id suggest coming to the ender's games in Jan that way we would both be at that tourney and I could guarantee you housing/ games or whatever.

we had 14 entrants last time and the number keeps getting bigger. The guys from reno didnt show and a couple others who have showed before didnt. If all the attendies came regularly we would have about 20 per tourney.

I'd enjoy it.

If you have to choose between the two events though, I'd have to say come to ender's games instead, simply because the venue is open much longer. If it's convenient I'd love to see you or others of Deep Norcal come up for both though, we don't have the pleasure of playing with you guys enough. :)

EDIT: What is Catan?

Also, other games we could play alternative to Smash include Budokai Tenkaichi III, Perfect Dark 64, M:TG, Bomberman 64, maybe Chess (if I can dig up a chessboard), the original Smash, and probably anything someone would like to suggest as long as they find others interested as well.

haha yup. i had like a very long smashboards hiatus until i reached around 3,000 posts, then i started spamming like crazy. xDDDD

i think it's around the time when forum games stopped counting the posts as post count there, so i started focusing on melee discussion... then i became good at smash lol.

so yeah i plan to spam my way to 5,000 YAYUHZZZ

heyos,
sorry about missing the last tourney. sometimes it's a little snowy over the mountain pass, so travel can be a bit risky/difficult. when the weather is nice though, you can expect us. ^_^

what are the rules to the tourney on the 5th? I heard that TAG usually has weird rules.

I gave them a good, comprehensive ruleset that I combined from MLG(06 I believe) and SCC, but their rules page on their site is still the same as it's always been (though except for their first one, where me and Ricky abused their weird stage selections, lol (then again some of the stuff there is still a bit odd)). If you want to see what's on their site here's the link.

Oh, and Seris, I remember you didn't like that other ruleset I gave you because you thought it was too long since it explained what the stuff meant, right? Well I explained the terms mainly because I thought there would be a good amount of new, local players attending. So if you don't think that's an issue and don't want it all explained, you could always simply take the explanations out and use what's left.

But at the same time, length isn't great reasoning to not offer the full info to those that may want to see it (and also I think a good rules page SHOULD fully explain them). So an idea I just had is to take the ruleset I made and integrate in a little javascript, so whatever you feel doesn't need to be permanently displayed/explained to most can be hidden on the page until clicked on to expand. I could even write up the code for it if you want.

Ok. And do you want the javascript too? Hopefully I can catch Santha online....

Oh yeah, and have you set up the TAG's tournaments on tia to be a series yet? I think you need to have a player profile on there first though but I'm not sure. (It's not like you need to have attended tournaments, just make an account for yourself if you want/need to.)

Oh **** I wish I had checked the boards. :( Razr and I were playing Smash and BT3 for like the past 5 hours.

Are you free tomorrow? If so, give us (DRGN and I) a call, and you can come over anytime after 2:00 PM. The address is 2625 Gilbert Way, Rancho Cordova, CA, 95670. It's a bit closer than NK's from Davis. Oh and the number is 916.363.7394
