One thing....who is this female character that uses a tire pump??? The only thing I can think of is Dig Dug but the character there is male and isn't that childish to do the taunts that were explained.

When I said Dead Book before I was relating it to a character who uses it as her Final Smash.

Any ideas on who this character might be?

Someone said it was Alice from Balloon Kid

(Sounds a bit strange...what kind of magazine is it??? :dizzy:)
A dirty one, if I'm not mistaken. I'd be really surprised if they had such an item i brawl, plus it wouldn't make sense for some characters to be distracted by it, so that ones most likely a lie.

Probably SUPPOSED to be a 'nudie' magazine, so this is a lie.

Right behind you with a knife.
The second F-Zero character really screams fake, but technically it'd make more sense if it was Deathborne. The guy actually has a power he could use, not to mention he's more recent. (By the time line they are using)

FlipTroopa suggested Alice from Balloon Kid. Makes a LOT of sense (if this is true, lol).

The girl with the tire pump- Her character was like Mei Kusakabe from anime movie "Totoro" I found this humorous and ANNOYING. WAY WAAAAY WORSE THEN KIRBY. Her taunts involved sticking her tongue out and jumping for joy etc.
Didn't Sakauri say there would be no characters from anime? Or was that an unconfirmed rumor?

I can't see a gentleman's mag working on Kirby, you know? No, not because he is pink, but because he isn't human. Y'know, if you lack tab A then slot A just isn't that distracting.

The character is most likely either Alice from Balloon Kid or Ayumi Tachibana from Famicom Detective Club Part II. Most likely its Alice.

We only have to endure this week and next week as far as "prophets" go. The fourth week in January will be the real week of leaks.

It's what you would refer to as a "dirty" magazine. Not a porno, but something like Maxim. Though you could never tell by looking since it was far too small, you could tell by the enemy's reactions, and sometimes Otacon's:laugh:

Maybe it has a female "whatever the heck Kirby & Meta Knight are" in it?

Fire Rods and Ice Rods will be items.

Rundas, Daisy, Chain Chomp, and Agahnim will be ATs.

Gateway Galaxy, and Chozo Ruins will be levels.

Ridley is in Subspace Emissary.

Final Destination is back.

Metal Gear Solid will also have a item in SSBB, Magazine throw on the floor and if a fighter walks over it they will become distracted by it.

Regirock, Registeel, and Regice will be pokeball pokemon.

Supspace Emissary will take around 2-5 hours to beat depending on your skill level and how many worlds you wanna beat.

Ness is back and playable, he has NOT been removed.

Captain Falcon is back with a new moveset.

There will be around 65-75 levels.

1. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
2. Captain Falcon w/o Falcon punch? You're joking.
3. I'd say 55-60, but not THAT many.

Clearly an poor rumor, since there is no way Ness will ever be back (until the next game, SSB Chaos)

yeah, I thought of Ashley... but I'm really not familiar with the WarioWare series
That thing about the Dead Book would be Ashley. She had a "living" Spell Book in Smooth Moves that had a skull face on the front of it that allowed her to create this huge carnivorous plant. The source who said this I'd have to say sounded the least credible already though. I love Ashley but I'd rather, and think we will most likely, see her as an Assist and most.

Also "MGS Magazine" item sounds so wrong in so many ways. I just don't see it happening though with the ratings they are trying to aim for, despite it already being rated for "crude humour" I still don't see it happening. Also why on earth would Captain Falcon have a new moveset when his was original in the first place. Makes no sense to me.

It really just seems like some of these people are stealing each other's poorly thought out "information" though >.> some of this is just bloody ridiculous. Especially that guy throwing in lies, he's just covering for wrong guesses and delluding the stupid like many of you already know, but it just riles me up >.>

I'm sick of all these, especially the "three lies" guy that is painfully obviously just trying to cover his butt when his stuff is inevitably proven false.

Wake me up when a leaker has believable photographic evidence.

Another Gamefaqs guy:

http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=928518&topic=40666103

There are a LOT of phonies going on all around the Internet... a lot of people throwing around random information, pretending to give up fake information... kinda funny how everyone is being extremely vague or throwing LIES in with "real info." To account for complete screw-ups they'll make in guessing, obviousl. I won't give you any crazy story about me being Sakurai's twin brother, but I DO work for an Internet based something-or-other that received this information for a product of ours... I'm a big nerd deep down and I understand wanting to know more then the torturous strip-tease-like DOJO is showing off...

38 playable characters, not including transformations.

Ridley is not one of them. Sorry guys.

All Melee combatants will return except 3... maybe 4, depending on how you look at one.

The SSE will take 10 hours to complete just like Twilight Princess took 100 hours. In other words, an exaggeration... between 4-6 hours after the first initial run-through. With the amount of stuff that you can unlock, 10 hours each time completing the SSE would be exhausting.

One old combatant will be replaced by a newcomer with a similar play-style... but it's not Ness.

Not that it should be a surprise, but Sheik will be back. Another unsurprising bit of info, the rest of the characters require unlocking, akin to the previous games.

About 60 AT's, many of which require unlocking. If you'd believed everything everyone tells you, **** near every character ever created EVER would be an AT, but I think you should have realistic expectations.

That's all I really care to give up... I'm not trying to get mauled by a ravenous blood-thirsty legal team here, but if I can think of anything interesting that won't completely spoil the game for you, I'll post it.

Another Rumor

thealmightygoat has claimed to have sources that has reveled to him/her plenty of information about Brawl, and he/she posts daily info (like the DOJO, except he/she does weekends too).

It seems legit so far, and it seems more creditable then most other rumors.

BTW, if you were to include this in the list you should call it The Smashing Goat!

If there are 38 playable characters, and 3 vets are removed... it means 6 more newcomers. Not enough to fulfill everyone's wants... :S

Gwah! Okay...Someone needs to make a sticky of the thread and update the three power players, Goat, Rap, and FFSultan (And highlight everything that's been confirmed in green and the definite lies in red) and update as we go.... oh yeah. include guesses as to whom they're referring too.

Thing is, no one credible-sounding has leaked a full roster I don't think, they just post all these asinine made up facts. We can't believe anything because there's so much garbage around, and that couple with our own character bias will make us resistent even to the truth. That's why we need screenshots. I'd be happy with a completed roster and a shot of four previously unknown people in battle on battlefield. Is that so hard? A ton of people have camera phones or whatever. I'm just tired of this mess. The last few days till we know the best things are always the hardest.

HeyNoTrace(The last one I posted) responds:

How does WiFi work?

I think this may be difficult to answer... I only worked with a small group, and we did work that was very LOCAL... the WiFi connection worked fine for us, keeping in mind that we were in extremely close proximity... I can't say I feel comfortable making big guarantees about it, if you see what I mean...

Do the returning veterans who were very good in the last game (Sheik, Marth) feel toned down? Do the ones who were really weak in the last game (Mewtwo, Ness, Mr. Game and Watch) feel buffed?

I guess one of the biggest changes was GRAVITY... the combatants themselves aren't much changed, but the slight changes of physics makes it mandatory to get reacquainted with characters again. You could say a character like Sheik has been "nerfed" in that the physics don't complement him as well... he isn't as adept to shooting around stages like a gas molecule and is more down to Earth.

Does the game seem overall balanced, or do some characters blatantly suck/dominate?

Much more balanced then Melee, although there are still big differences. Bowser vs. Sheik for example won't be a complete foregone butchering anymore!

Is SSE actually any good? Is the story actually interesting, or is it nothing but an excuse for you to go around beating up bad guys?
Depends on your expectations, obviously... but for a less lame answer, it DOES have depth, there is a ton of stuff to collect and see, and some INSANE fights... it makes Melee's single-player mode look pathetic. But it's not dripping with deep storylines and EXTENSIVE voice-acting, so I wouldn't expect an RPG-like story mode, if that's what you're asking.

Do we have our "WTF" character that (almost) no one predicted?

Just one, yes. Would you honestly expect there NOT to be?

See the above question relevant to stages. Does it look like half of the stages will be unplayable like in melee?

"Unplayable?" Every stage has a "gimmick" so to speak that harasses players, but including past Melee/Bros. stages, there are plenty of normal 'fighting grounds.'
Also, FForceSultan makes a topic:
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=928518&topic=40640060

Same as before but makes a comment:

I will be nice.
It isn't Bonk and I know who Bonk is.
This guy is much taller and is fairly known.
Sorry for the confusion. But I will leave you with speculation on that one.
One of his attacks he uses his head to bash on enemies. Sorta like DK but it throws enemies upward and not into the ground.

The Tetrisphere trophy was just a trophy. Not a assist trophy. So please do not be mistaken by this.
There was music also, but I was told it was only a port.

I love how they all post on Gamefaqs or Gamespot profiles, as apposed to legitimate Smash websites. It's still more entertaining than waiting for DOJO updates that doesn't reveal much. Speculation fuels our engines, friends.

Every new prophet will have the same, similar information, I can tell. Character is/isn't playable, Character is/isn't an AT, you will/won't see XYZ. Regardless, I'm down with it all.

No playable Pichu - Obvious? yes. But Pichu is also a trophy.. just like the rest of the cut characters.
Well duh, I pictured this.

Holy ****! Look at all the trophies. It is jaw dropping and it was something THEY took note of.
I assumed there would be a lot of trophies.

Two words - DEAD BOOK
Has to refer to Ashley from the WarioWare series, with her book of spells and Skull.

No Belmont. No vampires.
Really vague, I can't figure it out...

Pay attention to the red doors in Adventure Mode. You have seen them before.
Super Mario Bros. 2!

Old Man Assist Trophy. (pixelated.)
Greedy old man from Zelda 1. I don't remember his name.

Excite Truck trophy.
Hmm...interesting, a trophy from a newer game for Wii.

Metal Combat music. Sounded like it came from a cheesy Ninja/Asian techno song.
Could it be Ninja Gaiden?

Prime trophies- Weavel and Gandrayda
Weavel was from Hunters, Gandrayda from Corrpution.

Someone loves Yo-Yos and Alien looking scifi guns.
Mikes Jones from the Startropics series.

There was actually a "Uniracers" trophy AND music.
Pretty obscure, also was notable in that entering "SONIC" or "SEGA" responded with a "Not Cool enough." Check it on Wikipedia, you'll get what I mean.

3 New Metroid stages + 2 classics.
Does this refer to pre- and post- Prime stages, or pre-Brawl and Brawl stages? Since so far we have Frigate Orpheon and Norfair (new to Smash) and Brinstar (old to Smash), which can be looked at as: Norfair & Brinstar (pre-Prime) and Frigate Orpheon (post-Prime).

Wario's Woods Versus song.
The first game with Toad as the hero :D

---Post 2---

Hmm, I like your **** So far you haven't said anything we can disprove yet. I think you should post more. I believe I'll ask a question: How many more japanese-only characters take their playable place in brawl?

There are 2 more.

One is old nearly forgotten character who is a secret character.
I say Sheriff from the Nintendo arcade game Sheriff, since he's "nearly forgotten," what with the trophy from Melee.

The other is the last unlockable secret character who I mentioned before is VERY VERY old and I fear many wont even know who or what it is.
Sheriff might also be this one, but he might not be, I haven't a clue with this one.

I know people are going to doubt me, so even if I am lieing about everything. It would be pretty scary if I was correct about most things.
Um...what?

So yeah other fun stuff..

When I said Dead Book before I was relating it to a character who uses it as her Final Smash.
Ashley, as mentioned above.

The girl with the tire pump- Her character was like Mei Kusakabe from anime movie "Totoro" I found this humorous and ANNOYING. WAY WAAAAY WORSE THEN KIRBY. Her taunts involved sticking her tongue out and jumping for joy etc.
Alice from Balloon Kid, who's like 8 years old.

The Tetris stage has nothing to do with Tetrisphere. Just TETRIS themed with the blocks as platforms.
Oh...I thought it might have been Tetrisphere...

There are 2 playable F-Zero characters. Captain Falcon of course returns. He has a alternate cotume with spikes. The other character looked "pretty" evil.
Black Shadow is most likely his costume. Deathborn is the only other person I can think of that could be a good F-Zero character...

One of the playable characters had a mustache, and it isn't Mario or Luigi. His Final Smash involved another character from a completely different game.
This MIGHT be a stretch, but he might be getting this backwards...or not...the mustachioed character is Shadow Mario, a transformation of Bowser Jr. The "Different Game" could be Bowser Jr.'s design from Galaxy? Or maybe Bowser Jr.'s airships from Galaxy? That would technically count I suppose...but too far of a possibility.

Ness, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff are actually unlocked their classic way they were in the 64 version. This means one thing, there are 3 playable Mother series characters.
I don't see how that confirms three Mother characters as playable, but it would make sense, as Falcon isn't updated yet. Also, who could the third character be, since I believe FFS already stated Claus was an AT...

New "prophet" at GF:

I'm Daragoes, and I have inside info on Brawl. I will go ahead and give you some, and re-post sometime later. I won't directly reveal new characters, but I will flat out say the old ones. I post under this name for three reasons: One/I am to well know on my other name to ruin my reputation. Dos) I forgot the password to my other account. And San-Daragoes stands for There a goes and is cool. Anyways to the spoilers

Here are a few things for you.

All the original Smash Bros. will be back. (Yes, Ness is not out.) Ness, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff will all be unlocked the way they were in the first Smash Bros.

The third Third Party character surprised me, but a lot a people probably wouldn't be.

The is another Third Party character who remarkably uses only his head.

Luigi has not only his vacuum, but a completely new move set.

Some characters have unlockable costumes. Example: Pokemon Trainer (Red) has a female costume, where he is a female Pokemon Trainer and the Pokemon gain ribbons.

The cut characters are all trophies. PDRM

The guy from Todd (the guy from Pokemon Snap, sometimes incorrectly called Trace) is an assist trophy. He is in the Zero One.

I seen one of the cut characters in the SSE.

Charizard's Up B is not fly, but another flying type move from the Diamond and Pearl Series.

The last unlockable character is an old character not many people will remember (no it is not Mrs. Game and Watch).

The third Third party character has a stage from one of his game series, but not the same series he is model as in Smash Bros.

Star Fox hasother representative(s).

Tails is an AT. He isn't offensive though.

Plus: There is a newcomer that was from a Wii Launch title, but he is not unlocked in SSE and Classic mode.

And this last piece of info is not as sure as the rest of this but, Super Smash Bros. will be released on the Virtual console before Brawl's release.

I will re-post in a few days.
