Someone said it was Alice from Balloon KidOne thing....who is this female character that uses a tire pump??? The only thing I can think of is Dig Dug but the character there is male and isn't that childish to do the taunts that were explained.
A dirty one, if I'm not mistaken. I'd be really surprised if they had such an item i brawl, plus it wouldn't make sense for some characters to be distracted by it, so that ones most likely a lie.(Sounds a bit strange...what kind of magazine is it???)
Probably SUPPOSED to be a 'nudie' magazine, so this is a lie.Metal Gear Solid will also have a item in SSBB, Magazine throw on the floor and if a fighter walks over it they will become distracted by it.

sounded like a wario series thing to me but i dont play them reallyWhen I said Dead Book before I was relating it to a character who uses it as her Final Smash.
Any ideas on who this character might be?

FlipTroopa suggested Alice from Balloon Kid. Makes a LOT of sense (if this is true, lol). One thing....who is this female character that uses a tire pump??? The only thing I can think of is Dig Dug but the character there is male and isn't that childish to do the taunts that were explained.
yeah, I thought of Ashley... but I'm really not familiar with the WarioWare seriessounded like a wario series thing to me but i dont play them really
Didn't Sakauri say there would be no characters from anime? Or was that an unconfirmed rumor?\
The girl with the tire pump- Her character was like Mei Kusakabe from anime movie "Totoro" I found this humorous and ANNOYING. WAY WAAAAY WORSE THEN KIRBY. Her taunts involved sticking her tongue out and jumping for joy etc.
Why does that matter? He was comparing a game character to an anime character.Didn't Sakauri say there would be no characters from anime? Or was that an unconfirmed rumor?
I think they meant that the character was "like" the anime character.. and not the anime character.Didn't Sakauri say there would be no characters from anime? Or was that an unconfirmed rumor?

The character is most likely either Alice from Balloon Kid or Ayumi Tachibana from Famicom Detective Club Part II. Most likely its Alice.Looks like FForceSultan has another post on his blog -

Does Sonic X count as anime?I think they meant that the character was "like" the anime character.. and not the anime character.
Maybe it has a female "whatever the heck Kirby & Meta Knight are" in it?I can't see a gentleman's mag working on Kirby, you know? No, not because he is pink, but because he isn't human. Y'know, if you lack tab A then slot A just isn't that distracting.
ROFL! I laughed pretty hard at that one.Maybe it has a female "whatever the heck Kirby & Meta Knight are" in it?
Clearly an poor rumor, since there is no way Ness will ever be back (until the next game, SSB Chaos)Fire Rods and Ice Rods will be items.
Rundas, Daisy, Chain Chomp, and Agahnim will be ATs.
Gateway Galaxy, and Chozo Ruins will be levels.
Ridley is in Subspace Emissary.
Final Destination is back.
Metal Gear Solid will also have a item in SSBB, Magazine throw on the floor and if a fighter walks over it they will become distracted by it.
Regirock, Registeel, and Regice will be pokeball pokemon.
Supspace Emissary will take around 2-5 hours to beat depending on your skill level and how many worlds you wanna beat.
Ness is back and playable, he has NOT been removed.
Captain Falcon is back with a new moveset.
There will be around 65-75 levels.
1. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
2. Captain Falcon w/o Falcon punch? You're joking.
3. I'd say 55-60, but not THAT many.
That thing about the Dead Book would be Ashley. She had a "living" Spell Book in Smooth Moves that had a skull face on the front of it that allowed her to create this huge carnivorous plant. The source who said this I'd have to say sounded the least credible already though. I love Ashley but I'd rather, and think we will most likely, see her as an Assist and most.yeah, I thought of Ashley... but I'm really not familiar with the WarioWare series
......huh?I wonder if any of these guys are real?
I'm betting they made it up like I did...
There are a LOT of phonies going on all around the Internet... a lot of people throwing around random information, pretending to give up fake information... kinda funny how everyone is being extremely vague or throwing LIES in with "real info." To account for complete screw-ups they'll make in guessing, obviousl. I won't give you any crazy story about me being Sakurai's twin brother, but I DO work for an Internet based something-or-other that received this information for a product of ours... I'm a big nerd deep down and I understand wanting to know more then the torturous strip-tease-like DOJO is showing off...
38 playable characters, not including transformations.
Ridley is not one of them. Sorry guys.
All Melee combatants will return except 3... maybe 4, depending on how you look at one.
The SSE will take 10 hours to complete just like Twilight Princess took 100 hours. In other words, an exaggeration... between 4-6 hours after the first initial run-through. With the amount of stuff that you can unlock, 10 hours each time completing the SSE would be exhausting.
One old combatant will be replaced by a newcomer with a similar play-style... but it's not Ness.
Not that it should be a surprise, but Sheik will be back. Another unsurprising bit of info, the rest of the characters require unlocking, akin to the previous games.
About 60 AT's, many of which require unlocking. If you'd believed everything everyone tells you, **** near every character ever created EVER would be an AT, but I think you should have realistic expectations.
That's all I really care to give up... I'm not trying to get mauled by a ravenous blood-thirsty legal team here, but if I can think of anything interesting that won't completely spoil the game for you, I'll post it.
I don't believe it, although I like that it is straight to the point...I just don't think that someone with a genuine leak would be observing and making fun of fake leaks. I think someone with a genuine leak would just give us information...but...I dunno.
Also, FForceSultan makes a topic:How does WiFi work?
I think this may be difficult to answer... I only worked with a small group, and we did work that was very LOCAL... the WiFi connection worked fine for us, keeping in mind that we were in extremely close proximity... I can't say I feel comfortable making big guarantees about it, if you see what I mean...
Do the returning veterans who were very good in the last game (Sheik, Marth) feel toned down? Do the ones who were really weak in the last game (Mewtwo, Ness, Mr. Game and Watch) feel buffed?
I guess one of the biggest changes was GRAVITY... the combatants themselves aren't much changed, but the slight changes of physics makes it mandatory to get reacquainted with characters again. You could say a character like Sheik has been "nerfed" in that the physics don't complement him as well... he isn't as adept to shooting around stages like a gas molecule and is more down to Earth.
Does the game seem overall balanced, or do some characters blatantly suck/dominate?
Much more balanced then Melee, although there are still big differences. Bowser vs. Sheik for example won't be a complete foregone butchering anymore!
Is SSE actually any good? Is the story actually interesting, or is it nothing but an excuse for you to go around beating up bad guys?
Depends on your expectations, obviously... but for a less lame answer, it DOES have depth, there is a ton of stuff to collect and see, and some INSANE fights... it makes Melee's single-player mode look pathetic. But it's not dripping with deep storylines and EXTENSIVE voice-acting, so I wouldn't expect an RPG-like story mode, if that's what you're asking.
Do we have our "WTF" character that (almost) no one predicted?
Just one, yes. Would you honestly expect there NOT to be?
See the above question relevant to stages. Does it look like half of the stages will be unplayable like in melee?
"Unplayable?" Every stage has a "gimmick" so to speak that harasses players, but including past Melee/Bros. stages, there are plenty of normal 'fighting grounds.'
I will be nice.
It isn't Bonk and I know who Bonk is.
This guy is much taller and is fairly known.
Sorry for the confusion. But I will leave you with speculation on that one.
One of his attacks he uses his head to bash on enemies. Sorta like DK but it throws enemies upward and not into the ground.
The Tetrisphere trophy was just a trophy. Not a assist trophy. So please do not be mistaken by this.
There was music also, but I was told it was only a port.
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=928518&topic=40667660I'm Daragoes, and I have inside info on Brawl. I will go ahead and give you some, and re-post sometime later. I won't directly reveal new characters, but I will flat out say the old ones. I post under this name for three reasons: One/I am to well know on my other name to ruin my reputation. Dos) I forgot the password to my other account. And San-Daragoes stands for There a goes and is cool. Anyways to the spoilers
Here are a few things for you.
All the original Smash Bros. will be back. (Yes, Ness is not out.) Ness, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff will all be unlocked the way they were in the first Smash Bros.
The third Third Party character surprised me, but a lot a people probably wouldn't be.
The is another Third Party character who remarkably uses only his head.
Luigi has not only his vacuum, but a completely new move set.
Some characters have unlockable costumes. Example: Pokemon Trainer (Red) has a female costume, where he is a female Pokemon Trainer and the Pokemon gain ribbons.
The cut characters are all trophies. PDRM
The guy from Todd (the guy from Pokemon Snap, sometimes incorrectly called Trace) is an assist trophy. He is in the Zero One.
I seen one of the cut characters in the SSE.
Charizard's Up B is not fly, but another flying type move from the Diamond and Pearl Series.
The last unlockable character is an old character not many people will remember (no it is not Mrs. Game and Watch).
The third Third party character has a stage from one of his game series, but not the same series he is model as in Smash Bros.
Star Fox hasother representative(s).
Tails is an AT. He isn't offensive though.
Plus: There is a newcomer that was from a Wii Launch title, but he is not unlocked in SSE and Classic mode.
And this last piece of info is not as sure as the rest of this but, Super Smash Bros. will be released on the Virtual console before Brawl's release.
I will re-post in a few days.
Nah, I'm at GameFAQs and that guy just keeps spamming that message over and over... he just took a bunch of random "leaked info" and regurgitated it into a thread, don't believe a word of it.New "prohpet" at GF:

Seems like everything's already been said...
