Diddy can glide toss forward, banana beats the first f-smash, and PS the 2nd and grab you. Diddy can also side B through f-smash with the kick. lol.

F-smash wall isn't a good tactic against a Diddy that knows the MU. Rather selective f-smash for setups is better. =o

Ooo, I stand corrected then. Any way they can punish the uair other than predicting it?

Hey, I was just thinkin about this after my last post. I definitely like Battlefield much more than any of the other starters; my game is always strongest there. What about the rest of you - which starter is your favorite?

I like YI and BF. I'm not fond of smashville. lol >___> It's not that it's that bad of a stage for Oli, just a personal thing.

Thank you L! XD

Smashville is always one of the first stages I strike, it's my least liked neutral. There's nothing wrong with it, but my strike/counterpick system revolves around stages that are bad for my opponent. And everyone likes Smashville. There's absolutely nothing special about it for Olimar, unless you're facing a Falco or Ice Climbers.

I don't like Yoshi's because it messes up my pikmin throw sometimes. Then again, I only dislike it against Lucario; I use side b to block his auras but the floor puts them at the wrong angle. Against everyone else it's ok, but I still like BF more - plenty of ledges to take advantage of and many more options for a landing Olimar :)

Thank you L! XD

What makes SV so good against Falco and ICs? I always took them to BF

The fact that the platform moves makes a huge difference. Falco can only chaingrab you if you're below like 20-30. So, I usually camp the platform so he's forced to laser. If he tries to attack with bair or nair while you're on it, the platform will move you safely out of the way, rather than leaving you there in a shield like BF platforms would. Same thing against ICs, for the most, but for the whole game, rather than the first part.

Oh I get it, never thought about it that way. My instant reaction was "way to flat to play either of them there" lol

I love that platform in SV, but my problem is I'm not really a campy player. While I enjoy being on that platform, I eventually get off.

See, that's another thing I realized at the tourney yesterday. Before, my problem was that my Olimar was too campy. Now, apparently my Oli doesn't camp enough. I think I learned how to pivot grab better and went a little overboard with it - I need to find balance!

There's different ways to camp, it's not necessarily a set skill level, haha. For instance, when Fino camps, he runs around and throws **** and spends the entire time trying to stay away from you, and it works. I don't do that as much, I focus more on using pikmin toss as a pressuring mechanic to force you to run into Olimar's incredible spacing tools, and it works as well. You just have to find your own method of camping.

What's funny though is that way back when, the roles were reversed, and we both had the opposite playstyle than we do now XD

Everything in moderation Vocal... except pikmin toss... sometimes you need to take moderation in moderation. ;o

I'd love to, but until I get a new computer I have to use my iPod to go on the internet and my iPod can't go on xat.

And my xat avatar is a smiling toast. :)
