I don't know what you're asking then. Any kind of similarities in playstyles amongst characters is usually a coincidence and is highly probable in a crossover fighter like this if they want to be faithful.

Toon Link could easily get merged with regular Link to create a Link that actually would NOT be instant bottom tier material. As Skyward Sword Link is basically Toon Link and TP Link combined, why not use advantage of that oppertunity?

It's already in Brawl in the form of flowering Pikmin, so applying it to a character it would naturally fit on would be fine by me. "Naturally fit on" being the key phrase here, which excludes Ridley by default.

The leaker was rather specific about Yoshi's partner, calling him "fat, red, and apparently similar to Yoshi." We'll know for sure whether this leak is a load of garbage (though not necessarily whether it's entirely accurate) after the 31st.

That's different. Pikmin still retain their models and hitboxes. Pokemon would have to have different models and hitboxes and movesets when they evolve. Sometimes simplicity works best.

Alternativley, you could just buff Link by giving him more priority and power on his attacks. Basically, just do what Project M did to him.

Toon Link could be like his Project: M self, minus the awful ^B

There should only be minor tweaks in the movesets, the biggest would probably be Charmeleon -> Charizard cause Zard can fly and stuff, and Wartortle -> Blastoise cause of the size and tunks. Not all TOO many moves would need to be changed, but sure a few should to make it all more interessting. The major changes would be in attack power though, and of coarse weight and speed.

Um, I have a random question...It's not really that important, but in Brawl if you select a character with the Wiimote, the character says some sort of battle cry. Like Mario, "Here we go!~". I was wondering if you guys would like something like that for Smash 4 when you select a character, regardless of what remote/controller you use. You see battle cries in other fighting series and even in Mario Kart and Mario Party...But most importantly in SSB where the selected character does an animation and says something. I love how Link does some sword slashes then turns his back to you. I always thought it was badass.

In my opinion, the only character that deserves to be cut or replaced is Snake because 2-3 third pary characters is good enough (It saves room for Mega Man and a Namco rep). Sonic can actually stay because he has an even bigger history with Nintendo than the cloned soldier.

Yes, but Snake was included first as a favor between friends. Do you really think Sakurai would remove a character a close friend asked him to add? If I was Kojima, I would be pretty pissed at something like that.

I think the idea that the two of them are close friends is ignored by a lot of people. Yes its a business, but if a close friend personally asks you to add one of their characters, i'm pretty sure most people would do that, and probably keep them in the game. If Sonic stays, Snake will stay, and vice versa. To cut one so new characters can get in is silly, when we can have the other two anyway. Or just one. I'm impartial on 3rd party's.

I want to trade falco for krystal, that way we get a character with a cool moveset that imo is more important than falco. Id also love to make fox alot better by giving back some of the properties that were given to falco and give them to fox.

One thing for sure is to not get any high hopes. It's probably going to simply be a recitation of upcoming titles going to be released later this year like Pikmin 3. Even if new information does show up, don't expect a lot of details to be explained.

(I'm seriously going to cringe if this Direct is related to the Namco "employee" in any way...)

The only reason why I raised eye brows at this Nitendo Direct, was because of the Namco 'employee' rumors.

I just hope it's more WiiU related more than anything. Lord knows we need more stuff coming to down this systems pipeline.

If anything it would be a picture Mario, Link, Pikachu and Kirby and a Logo. At that would literally be it. I would the biggest tease anti-climactic tease. We would least see the character models...
