Palutena got a lot of screentime in Brawl though despite not being playable or a boss. It'd say she's a shoe-in, as she's not even created by Sakurai in the first place.

Considering Palutena is the most popular female newcomer, and a well liked character from a revived series, I don't see why she isn't likely to be in. I think it's rather likely actually.

I'm expecting a couple of big name titles, like the Mario and Zelda games that they've undoubtably been working on to get unveiled, as well as Retro studios to spill their beans as well. I gotta say im excited. It's a pretty smart move that they don't wait for E3 if you ask me, because right now. There are no games for the Wii u. I mean sure there's zombie u and scribblenauts and such, but those aren't games that people see and say "Damn. I gotta get a Wii u."

If it's Sakurai then that probably means the opposite. Sakurai himself is the whole reason a new KI rep is not a shoe in.

Again, Sakurai did not create Kid Icarus. He was modest about the Kirby series because that was his creation and was afraid of giving that too much publicity in Super Smash Bros. Kid Icarus is different, since it's not his creation technically speaking and there isn't a desire to continue the franchise.

In fact expect at least something special as a bit of a last hurrah, like the Kid Icarus smash taunt thing.

LMAO at you guys using the arguments I came up with during the Goddess Wars. Anyway Pit is not up there with the Big 5 (6 if we include Metroid), my reasoning is that while Pit would be one of the first vets revealed (duh) he wouldn't be in the first trailer due to Sakurai's modesty (unless of course Palutena was in the trailer to which Pit would be a must), if not for the fact that the Big 5 (6) and newcomers get the priority.

If we get the announcement of a new Nintendo-published game (if anything probably the Yoshi game), I'll be more than content. The last couple of Directs have taught me not to get my hopes up, it's possible they might just reiterate what we already know (though hopefully with a few more details), but because it's apparently first-party focused and worldwide, who knows, maybe we'll get something new. Because Iwata also mentioned services as well as titles, perhaps we'll finally get to hear about the Wii U VC.

Either way, I doubt it'll be Smash. I'm doubting Smash will be anything more than mentioned before E3, and definitely not shown.

No it'd actually be awesome to see a new Yoshi character, or a new Yoshi game in general.

But yeah, Ridley wouldn't quite like it no.

Don't be paniced however! Cause there's chance Little Birdie and **** Monster won't make it as Ridley's pre-evolutions due to 'difficulties' much like the Diddy / Dixie tag team.

Watch and see Little Birdie and **** Monster be part of the new 'Forbidden #' character list.
