Doesn't even need to be shown off. Sakurai confirmed he's in Smash 4 some time back in an interview/article.

I'd rather have some of the less likely ones, like Snake, Sonic, or other Brawl guys -some- people want back(say Ike, for instance).

As long as this Direct is more than updates on Pikmin 3 and game and wario ill be ok lol seriously though, it's about time Nintendo lets lose a game that will really get people to want a WiiU

Agreed. It is mostly just more details about stuff we already know about. Like, for instance, the Smash WiiU/3DS stuff at that one Nintendo Direct was nothing; nothing at all but a shameless promotion. Still, it would be a perfect place to show off a new Bayonetta game or to see a lot more Pikmin 3, especially since the latter is Nintendo's next big 1st party WiiU release. Heck, I wouldn't even mind if Nintendo basically said "we're saving some cool stuff for E3! Get hyped early! "

Im sure they'll have more Game&Wario and Pikmin 3 footage, but the bottom line is, this ND's purpose is to announce first party Wii u games. So no matter what they do or reveal tomorrow we will shed tears of joy. It's a given. Atleast I will. :D

It's an edit of Bugs Bunny from a banned cartoon clogged with stereotypes. In particular that image is based on Bugs's impersonation of "Black Face".

It's a "different" nintendo direct focusing on first party releases for the Wii U. Being that Nintendo is not stupid and knows that they currently have no hook for their new console, and waiting for E3 would be a bad move financially to release said hook, expect to see big name titles announced tomorrow. Such as a Yoshi title, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Mario of course, Zelda yadda yadda.

Unfortunately it will keep happening as long as Diddy Kong keeps bringing up his bizarre ideas into an otherwise peaceful thread, mainly Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and The Legend of Zelda. Also people hate Krystal, so naturally it never gets brought up, and gets shot down when it does.

If you're a fan of a small, minor character who plays a minor role in a smaller franchise, congratulations. However, don't speculate their chances at being playable in a future smash bros game; instead, make moveset/texture/voice/music mods for them in current smash bros games. Or root for them as a AT or boss, like I do with Proto Man!

Also, all of those characters I mentioned are very minor indeed, except maybe Krystal. But even then, she's kinda old (her last appearance was literally Brawl) and not in the retro kind of way. To make matters worse, she was in no way, shape, or form the main character of her 3 games, and none of them sold particularly well.

I consider krystal to be important as she is foxes girlfriend, a telepathic, and has a really cool staff. Id trade falco for her in a heartbeat for smash.

It's kind of their fault for calling it the Wii U to begin with, since many idiots think it's just another model of the Wii. Also, the lack of titles, which is again because of them not focusing on the big guns and instead focusing on third party companies shoveling out ports clogged with problems. Plus, that steep price tag.

Also, I'm still going to cringe if they reveal Yoshi's Island Wii U and there really is a "Debu" as a new character.

He's who inspired Wario to start his video game company to begin with, and he even has unlockable minigames in nearly every WarioWare title. As well as his own DSiWare title.
He can stretch his tounge to attack and even grab (like Yoshi), he can stretch his beak to attack, and he can spit seeds, so he's not lacking in attack possibility.

I'd much prefer a Super Mario Sunshine 2 to be revealed tomorrow over a Super Mario Galaxy 3, but that's just a pipe dream at this rate. Add a few familiar faces into the Sunshine formula, expand on the FLUDD mechanic, toss in a few new environments to satisfy the nitpickers, and I think it would be well-received.

Nintendo can't catch a break with 3rd parties. I was hoping WiiU would be the platform i can play games like Tomb Raider, Dead Space 3 &
GTA5 along side Nintendo's 1st party. Sadly it looks like very few multi-plats are coming to the system...

I think Nintendo will probably get some multiplatforms for the few big budget 360/PS3 titles that are coming out in 2014. Resident Evil Revelations has already been semi-confirmed, and I am sure Lightning Returns will probably be a Wii U title as well.

They'll have to if they want to keep up. Wouldn't be surprised if that Wii U hack was referring to RE Revelations and Lightning Returns, the former was confirmed yesterday so chances are it's only a matter of time before the other (as well as the other games found on that hack).

While I highly doubt that Lightning Returns would be on the Wii U, that would be pretty neat. It's been a long time since a Nintendo console has had a main series Final Fantasy game, even if it is the last game in the trilogy.

They're fine. I think Nintendo is too busy trying to reinvent the wheel and having too high of expectations for a console in such a market. They got to realize selling this console is an eventual thing, like the GBA, DS, 3DS, NES, and SNES, rather than an immediate mega-hit, like the Game Boy and the Wii.

Plus, that steep price tag.

It's $350. I have seen models of the Xbox 360 and PS3 for sale for about the same price. Really, the console is a hell of a lot better than the Wii; the problem is it isn't a "must buy right away" thing. It's actually got online, much better launch day titles (if Wii Sports is your 2nd best game, that's not a good sign), and actually has next generation graphics.

1. Why would you want the new Tomb Raider=??? That franchise has been artistically dead for over a decade, and that story is shaping up to be really sexist.
2. GTA 5 is still up in the air. A PC version (aka the best version) hasn't even been announced! (Quite frankly, PC GTA > GTA on any other console; dem mods!!!)
3. Meah, Dead Space 2 kinda turned me off of Dead Space. It felt very unoriginal, and like a Gears of Wars/Resident Evil 5 clone a bit. Plus it is EA.

I brought her up because her fanbase has been up and down. However, unlike the other characters I mentioned, she was a main character in a million-copy plus selling franchise.

I think the FLUDD would work if it was just for some levels, had more unique nozzles (on top of the current one), or was optional (for levels), and the controls for it were better.

Also, I think that a Super Mario 3D game shouldn't feel more limited than a 2D Mario game like the Galaxy games did. Really, I want some open world exploration, not treating a 3D game like it's more linear than a 2D Mario game! Hence I think combining the open-world elements that made Super Mario 64 legendary with the sleek gameplay of Super Mario Galaxy with the always present Mario innovative touch to give us a Mario game we've always wanted deep in our hearts... Super Mario WiiU!!! (Universe? Unlimited? Jump?)
