semi clones r ok. in the case of Star Fox characters, it makes sense that they all have blasters, and reflectors in their movesets so i dont have a problem with that. as long as there are still significant differences between the two characters in question im fine with it.

LLA = Quite good, if people can get over the fact Final Smashes can be similar

King Hippo won't get in if Little Mac won't get in.

it was very stupid on their part to have all the Star Fox characters use the Landmaster. it should've been something like Fox= Plasma Cannon, Falco= Landmaster, and Wolf= Star Wolf Fleet. or you know something along those lines. it really was dumb to give them all the exact same final smash. that goes for Lucas and Ness too

Fox using the Landmaster would make more sense seeing as Falco says, "Personally I prefer the air." Falco should have his famous Sky Claw Arwing

i was just using an example but u get what i mean. there were more than enough possibilities for final smashes from that series and i was honestly dissapointed in that

There is always the possibility of obtaining new abilities to further differ between two characters. This was proven to be possible with Brawl, and it can easily happen again. For example, giving Ness PK Rockin' and Lucas PK Love instead of both of them sharing PK Starstorm.

I haven't seen this discussed, and it seems like a long shot, but I actually think that Ryu from the "Breath of Fire" series could work well.

They did say there was a possibility of Capcom characters (not too many, and I expect MegaMan) and the first two were on SNES and GBA (and I think the virtual console).

You could have him in his normal form (I would think a mix of Marth and Link), and he could change to dragon form (like Charizard), and his Final Smash could be his Agni form or something.

Of course this seems like a long shot. 3-5 were on Sony systems and the most recent was released a decade ago, but the people gunning for him to be in MvC have been consistently disappointed, so I feel like he could still be available for SSB4. He could be like the completely unexpected character, like R.O.B. in Brawl.

Any thoughts on this?

That would actually be pretty awesome. :O

Unfortunately the roster choices for the SEGA side were rather... bland in my opinion. Mostly Japan only characters that I've never heard of (except for the Virtua Fighters cast).

Well Megaman is in PxZ, but yeah when we combine Mario/Sonic/Megaman/Pac-man into a game the world would explode 3 multiplied by however many Pokemon are "discovered" at the time.

Yeah. And it made sense, which is uncommon for a 'leak'. Such as how Little Mac and Takamaru were supposed to be the first revealed, and King K. Rool is getting a redesign from retro studios. Also the yoshi's island thing corresponds to the other leak, about the new yoshi game, which boosts both of their chances of being true. The Ridley thing is bad. Bad bad. No evolution, please. Platinum games asking for a rep seems pretty likely too, so they can boost popularity. Although I don't know if they'll get one.

Also, a 6th gen rep seems almost shoe in. I like the idea of a rival trainer being in.

It only makes sense because the leaker just ran with the latest Yoshi rumor and it only takes an educated guess to assume if K Rool was going to make it then Retro would have designed him.

If the Yoshi rumor is real, this Smash rumor still has zero credibility. Only if Yoshi has a new friend in this game with a name similar to debu then you can look at this Smash Rumor in a new light.

This leak is far too detailed for something that is so far away. It makes educated and probable guesses and that's the only thing that makes it even appear slightly credible.

The rumor could easily be based on the Yoshi's Island rumor indeed. People who make up these sort of things are generally speaking smart enough to make it sound believable.

The leaker was rather specific about Yoshi's partner, calling him "fat, red, and apparently similar to Yoshi." We'll know for sure whether this leak is a load of garbage (though not necessarily whether it's entirely accurate) after the 31st.

Not any of the likely characters, at least. The mechanic could be designed to have the character's moves be powered up, rather than change, as they evolve, though Lucario already fills this niche somewhat anyways...meh.

This Ridley evolution concept isn't universally loathed for no good reason, now.

....But I can only see this working with ONE pokemon. Keeping track of THREE pokemon, and evolving them, is too much to handle in short, 3-stock matches. (Or the Sakurai favorite, 2-minute matches).

Slightly credible it may be, the things the 'leak' describes are highly probable. While I don't think this is a real leak, I think it'd be similar to this even if it was.
And the person who 'leaked' the yoshi rumor had posted pictures with it. So personally I believe that one.
