So like, I don't mean to derail you current Waluigi topic but I posted this in the general Smash 4 thread and wanted to know what the character general thread thought.

I really hope Marth and (if he gets in) Roy have their Awakening looks in SSB4. They're just too awesome, especially Roy.
I don't hate Ike's as much as everyone else seems to, but I'm not much of a fan either. Really the only ones I dislike are his, Micaiah's, and Eirika's. I think most were pretty well done, even if just based on their classes.

It could always just be some random Toads.

However, this is Next Level Games. We know they like Waluigi.
I'd be perfectly fine if it does turn out to be Waluigi, but honestly I'm more interested in what exactly multiplayer would entail.

Because it's pretty uncalled for at the moment. Granted unlike some people here, I see a diamond in the rough when it comes to Pac-man, but don't want to discuss it because of bigger fish in the sea catching my eye.

Would you prefer this new art style used for Emblem characters in the upcoming Smash games or would you rather stick to the less JRPG-ish art style?

Outright no JRPG style, it clashed together with the artwork in FE13 it's going to clash even more in Smash. Can see the generic class outfits as alternate costumes for Roy, maybe Ike though.

As a side note, they really should have used the same artist for all of the DLC characters.

Agreed. I don't mind the exagerrated style(which is what you mean, not "anime" since the games have always looked like an anime/manga), but the DLC art really could have used some consistancy.

Toads or Miis will be the other playable characters in Dark Moon. Not because Waluigi isn't fitting, but for the same reason he, Wario, and Peach weren't in NSMBW: Miyamoto's gameplay style dictates that the characters function identically so that each character doesn't require new players to study their nuances. This is why we've seen the multicolored Toads so frequently as of late. If Waluigi shows up, chances are, it won't be as playable.

He's about Mario's height if anything, who is supposedly 5'1".
...Which is contradicted by the fact he's slightly shorter then Sonic, who is 3'3" in canon. So he's probably around 3-ish feet at least.

We are going to unfortunately get a lot more Fire Emblem and Pokemon discussions in February due to the release of FE13 and the first major Pokemon of Generation 6 being revealed. The FE stuff is really tired out, however, I am curious what the first major Pokemon of Generation 6 will look like. However, I am not sure what week in February the extra Pokemon movie details are usually released.

If its another anthropomorphic canine (or another furry in general), expect the "OMG its going to kick out Lucario and keep Mewtwo from coming back" routine.

Usually CoroCoro is a good place to look, which is released monthly around the 15th but is normally leaked a few days prior (around the 11th). It's pretty much the prime thing to get new information regarding to Pokemon related content in general.

Hearing about CoroCoro reminds me about that time pre-Brawl where an issue claimed it would "reveal all characters," and everyone got their hopes up, but it was really just "all characters...revealed on the DOJO at the time."

I remember when Brawl was released and people were unlocking all of the characters, there were people still denying it even after ROB was unlocked. Heck, for several hours every character on the leaked roster was confirmed except for Wolf, and Krystal fans were insisting that despite the rest of the roster looking like the leaked one, the last character would be Krystal and not Wolf.

Let's just say that there was some howling by the end of that day.

I remembered someone leaked the brawl list like a month or few months before brawl got released in Japan. I didn't believe it because I thought it was ROB from Star Fox 64. I realized they were talking about R.O.B.

I'm surprised with Brawl leaks because it's Nintendo game. It's very rare to get leaks from Nintendo. I wonder if it will happens again with Namco-Bandai.

It was pretty much three different leakers who all did not have the complete picture, and I pieced everything together from what they were saying.

Look, I think Waluigi as a concept is pretty hilarious to. At least, I liked him in the Mario Power Tennis opening. But outside of that he really needs something real to give him more character. I'd probably support him for the next game if he gets a real appearance of sorts.

SSB takes scale as a guideline. I'm guessing Pac-Man would be more around Mario height in any SSB4 appearance, I'm guessing. Maybe slightly shorter.
