. On a side note went to see Dead Letter Circus last night, they're pretty good.
**** you!!! Last time they came to Perth was during my exams *sigh*

Anyway, going though my iPod now - just gonna mention appropriate bands that might be good (if you want individual songs I can do that later):

The Last Shadow Puppets (Arctic Monkeys X Mexican Standoff music, with violins :D)
The Raconteurs/Saboteurs (Only a couple of songs would fit though, like Salute Your Solution and Consolers of the Lonely)
SKINDRED!!! (Ragga Metal booyah)
Silverchair (*old* Silverchair, that is)
Dead Letter Circus (Most of their songs are quite fast paced, hardly ambient but awesome music nonetheless)
Will Stoker and the Embers (mix it up a bit with these guys - I can't really describe them, you'll have to listen to them)
Cat Empire (does anyone not know Cat Empire?)
Dananananaykroyd (Party pop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJqB0Po5ulU)
The Fratellis
Karnivool
Devo :D?
Jamiroquai

Splice post: Yeah, for chill music, anything from Beck pretty much, although best albums for his chill music would be mutations, Odelay, Modern Guilt and Mellow Gold.

And because Becks music style varies a fair bit, we can use lots of songs :D

Utada Hikaru's album 'This Is The One' is fairly laidback in a lot of the songs.

Just for the record, Fleet Foxes is ****ing amazing (Ragged Wood, Blue Ridge Mountains). Also, Girls (Hellhole Ratrace), Bat for Lashes (What's a Girl to do?), Memoryhouse (everything), Neon Indian (6669), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart (everything)

Thanks for the all the recommendations so far, I'll be D/Ling many of them for RC!

More? :)

Vyse - JPop certainly welcome in the mix

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyJeaVLqvN8 <-- it's chilled but the drums are spastic lol
And the entire album of Mutations, and then plenty more.

Band called Air with tons of good chill songs, don't know many of the names
I just know this song is good, but probably one of their least chilled lol

Also Radiohead would be really good, including their IN RAINBOWS album
