The Peach MU is pretty hard. =/
It's definitely one of those 40:60.
I would disagree. It is a hard MU. You go from 0-80 in like the first 30 seconds of a stock then remain from 80%-180% forever because Peach can't kill. Also her crappy airdodge makes her easy to hit when she is floating. so you end up coming back because Peach only can do so much once she can't wrack damage on us.
I play this MU a lot vs Meno. and with beating Peachkid too I would say the MU is even. Idk I will have to fight more good Peach mains to know. I still need to fight Praxis and Darkpeach that way I can know for sure about how good I know that MU.

edit: Instant throwing works pretty good in this MU also.

I'm going to a tournament tomorrow and I've decided to not pick Snake at all like in the past. I'm teaming with a Zelda player (I've spoken with Riot, an amazing Zelda player from MA and received advice on how that team works).

as for singles i just gotta work on spotdodging too much lol

Best of luck, Mantis, Gw, and the rest of you beepos traveling out this weekend!
Do work<3
And if you don't, pick up on why you didn't and learn from it. It's the best way to improve; learning how to capitalize even when defeated.

I'm taking a weekend off. Next tournament will be next weekend.
It will be my last tournament before Pound 5 (if I can go!)

I'm still not sure if I'm gonna use her in tournament tomorrow or not, but I have like, 10 MM's lined up with her, and 1 or 2 with ROB. So I might just use her for MM's and go ROB all tourney. :)

Well Rob isn't a good character. But kinda sad to hear that D:
Just think of how embarrassing it was to place last with MK on my own tournament >_>

I just lost all confidence in myself. I was so confident the day before the tournament, and some stuff happened, and I just went into the tournament not believing in myself at all. I know that sounds stupid, but I really think I could have gotten top 10 if I actually cared more, but I just felt like ****. People get to me sometimes.

I was doing better with Peach all day. I almost beat our 2nd best player with her in a MM. >_>

If it makes you feel any better, the one tournament I went MK about half a year ago, I got last place, and that's where I usually place anyway. I accepted that ROB is bad a long time ago, I just can't get good with anyone else. :( My Peach is getting really good though I think, I might just start maining her now.

Rob is good, he's just hard to be good with.

I placed consistently at around the same spot for almost a year. It was killin me.
What really got me back on track was figuring out how to do b-reversals.
Not that b-reversals give me better placings, but it kept rob fun and innovative for me.
Most importantly, the by-the-book ROB is really easy to shut down imo. Maybe not within the first year or so of Brawl, but now, people have caught on.

People know how to punish dsmash, get through camping, avoid our kill moves.

Zwarm, what do you feel that your opponents are shutting down against you?

oh i understand you there. people say 'its jsut words, i cant do anything' but stuff gets to people easy and i understand that.
dont feel so bad about coming in last place, think about who it was who beat you, a few months back i came last with ike i thought i had just become crap. but i think back to it, and i won my first game, but howver because it was a 24 man bracket, everyone who lost in the first round got a bye, so although i had won a game i still came last -__-. also i was drawn against the top falco in the uk (who is also the best falco in europe, pretty hard to beat) and the top pikachu in the uk (which is a 65:35 MU against ike)

if you think peach will be a better choice for the future then stick with her for now, but you can never avoid your first main (for some reason)

Agree, we MW:E ROBs always use to place the same (around 17th), people coining the term 'ROBth place' I hated it. But now Mr. Eric and I place top 10 pretty consistently and they sometimes throw that term back.

Stupid OS got everyone good at the ROB MU lol.

ROB's difficulty curve

Pretty easy to learn the basics and get good with them. Damned hard to get to the top, but at least doable.

I would rather place last than first, to be honest. In other words; I really want to improve instead of "not improve".

that's definitely not a bad way to look at it.
some people, like me, are very fascinated by how much room there is to improve.

To me all that matters is winning, if I can't win, I practice more. That keeps me improving. But yeah everyone has their own way. Winning makes you feel so proud of yourself anyways.

yes, winning is always a goal, but i never let the gap between where im at and where i want to be slow me down.

some people get very discouraged by it.
by i encourage them otherwise.

I usually just take my losses as a learning experience, but this time, it was just an annoyance. I've been practicing this game more than I ever have the last few weeks, and I was finally ready to actually do well in tournament, and the same thing happens that always happens. I had to play against Red Ryu round 1, a good WI Lucario, who I had to play first round last tournament too. >_> They were really close games, game 1 was almost a timeout, and I apparently had the lead with 30 seconds left, but I didn't even realize the match was going on that long. He was around 170%, I don't remember what percent I was at, but he got a clutch fsmash on me and won. I don't remember if it went to game 2 or 3 for some reason, but I know the last game was the same thing, both high percents, and he gets me with a uair as I was coming back down onto the stage. In losers I had to face Meneil, a really good Ike, who I actually beat at a tournament last weekend, and beating her was the main reason I was confident the night before. But yeah, stuff happened, and when it came time to play her, I was really in a bad mood, I was half asleep, and I just wasn't playing my best. I just felt like I didn't care. By the time I did care, it was halfway through game 2, but it was too late, and I lose. The match is probably going up on youtube, which is bleh, but I'll post it here once it's up. I can do so much better than what is shown in the video, though. :/

So basically, I played two people who I seem to play a LOT in tournament, and once again I didn't get to play anyone new, which is really starting to bug me. The only people I ever play in tournament it seems, is Meneil, Akashi, Red Ryu, and Sago. I've never played any of our other top player in tournament in the whole year and a half I've been playing Brawl competitively, and a few more here and there that I also haven't played, which really bugs me. I want to play new people for once, but if I would request a bracket switch, I'd probably just get told to deal with it.

I don't really know what the main problem is. I know I still have some bad habits with ROB, like I usually shoot a laser right after a gyro to try and shield poke people as the gyro approaches them, which I get read against people with reflectors sometimes. I have trouble getting back to the stage despite being able to b-reverse stuff. I have trouble camping, because people just shield stuff and approach me like people do against Falco, but I don't have an amazing side B to get away from them. Those are the ones I know about, I probably have more.

Talk to your TO next time you have to fight RR first round. Most TOs are understanding and will try to work something out so you don't have to do that for the xth time in a row.

Instead of that, we should make a ROB Skype chat. I'd be willing to make one if everyone wants. I just find Skype easier than XAT.

Eric, I'll be sure to hit you up on AIM sometime, I'm busy today though.

Yeah I went ROB and didn't get last. I've also come to the conclusion that ROB dittos are dumb. I'm going Snake in those. I say this because I had to play 2 ROB's at my tournament. I just have a tough time with MK (just like everyone else). Stockfield beat me in ROB dittos, but those are so stupid (at least to me) because all of ROB's gimmicks don't really work lol.

That tournament marks the 1st time in history where I had to time someone out to get a win (it was another ROB ditto).

Teams was so bad because my partner didn't take it seriously at all.

so all in all i didn't rep ROB, but Stockfield did.

edit:Skype chat would be cool

Yeah, it's hard to take on ROB in a competitive setting.
