Ex. Years ago I remember see Dr. Peepee in top 10 at tourneys and not really know who he was, and kept hearing how he's gonna be a great player soon and all that then out of no where I see him getting top 3 and beating big name players

Now I feel better about having scraped strong bad, repeatedly blasting Jaiye and barely losing to chris.

Real talk tho, the only reason theyll be placing top 10 in 2 years is because there really shouldnt be more than 15 people playing the game by then.

Shrouded is definitely going to become the peach with the highest post count. Some people might consider that as the best Peach.

The length of time someone has been playing is irrelevant.

People can play for years and not break into higher levels (Ex. da K.I.D.) but people can play for years and begin to break into that level. (Ex. KevinM) This thread is speculating on who is starting to improve and break into the higher levels.



I'm going to nominate my dude Westballz for this thread.

Also a solid chunk of New England has been improving at a very steady rate lately. People are going to be hearing about KevinM, Mafia, th0rn, ShawnNumbers, Travis, Diesel, Zoso, Andy, s l o x, and T-Webb more this year and next, I'd wager.

few people tread water for 4+ years and then figure out how to reach the next level. for most people it's either a very gradual improvement process that steadily improves them over years OR a rapid ascent to the top from infancy (pc chris, mango, hbox etc)

it can happen though, i don't there's anything holding people back from getting good at smash really besides time available for it/money/location

I love ma dude westballz but I don't think he has improved that fast, he has just went to more tournaments recently and that people didn't realize how good he was before.

I also think its kinda clear that hes lacking in the floaty department.

i don't think i have a floaty problem. Actually floaties r my best matchups. AZ tourney was just bad and had less that 5 hours of sleep the whole weekend. The way i feel heavily impacts the way i play and having no sleep all weekend didn't help.
