Comparing Melee to Brawl it's way harder. It's way more technical, leading to a harder learning curve. Almost every character is played differently in Brawl then Melee. But Melee is still way more fun than Brawl, once you learn how to play.

Samus isn't too tough, but the guy who's teaching me (InterimOfZeal, probably never heard of him) is making me pick up Fox so I can develop faster fingers / reactions and get good at technicals (waveshines, drillshines, shffls, shdls, etc). In the end it'll be good, because I'll have a great secondary in Fox and a fun main in Samus.

And the faster fingers / reactions will help me in Brawl, especially with Diddy. Snake too, I guess.

Kakatte Koi. It's like... bring it on. Japanese typically use american phrases to sound badass. Kinda like how chicks here drop Sugoi and desu ne here. I hate the whoring of Desu ne cause it basically means Isn't it or Don't you think? if I'm not mistaken.

No you don't. You shouldn't use Fox if you are recovering from Brawl holding your hand and spoiling you. Fox is the most technically demanding character. His technical ceiling is unreachable (check out Perfect Control and Adventure for examples of his ceiling). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euHUAbmkyAY
I recommend Marth, Falco, Sheik, Samus, Peach, and Ganondorf to those who want a good character in Melee faster.

Thanks to the HBC, you can load up the GC AR dol to open up Melee's debug mode without owning an AR. Awesome!

I already know a lot about melee. I know what all the ATs and stuff are. I played it before Brawl, and was fairly decent. Right now, I'm just trying to force myself back to where I was before switching to Brawl. I main Marth already, and I'm just using Fox because he's fun and using him will help with my finger dexterity. I know he's the hardest character in the game to use. I originally tried to pick him up before Brawl and gave up because of how difficult he was. I'm trying again now, but that's probably a bad idea because I'm still all Brawlified.

Yes, I do suck at melee right now. >_> I'm attempting to fix it.

And what's this about AR without an AR? This has me intrigued.
