maybe he isn't for all snakes, he's definitely my worst MU as snake though. olimar and planking are really the only things that make me feel that disadvantaged as snake, and sometimes MK but that was only with good players and people who were beating me with other characters anyway, where as I feel like I can lose to a bad olimar pretty easily :/

Olimar isn't that bad IMO. I should have beaten r. Bro wn at genesis if two white pikmin didn't get stuck on me last stock last match for 98 freakin % (he had 100+ on his last stock before that happened..>_>). And that was the first "good" olimar I had ever fought.

I seriously wonder how many people you have faced that actually know how to fight snake for you to say this. He could easily drop out of top 5, he has very exploitable weaknesses people are finally realizing how to abuse.

Honestly, Gheb half the time the things you say make me question if you have actually played the MUs against people that know what they were doing or if you are just theory crafting and assuming the stuff you say will work.

Snake can be argued to be 2nd although I think ICs / Olimar counter most character harder ... but I don't see Snake below 4th overall. Diddy / Pika are good but not better than Snake imo and Marth is just ... meh.

Ally isn't placing with Snake at all anymore from what I've seen. But Razer, Fatal, Bizkit, Havok are all doing pretty well in nationals with [mostly solo] Snake. And that's not counting international Snake players out of which I can name at least 5 competent ones.

What character other than MK has 2 people placing top 8 at nationals in the USA? Snake has placed like 7th, 2x 17th and multiple times somewhere between 25th and 49th at Apex and I know that Fatal and MVD have both placed top 10 at some national before whereas Bizkit and Havok have placed top 5 at bigger regionals as well.

MK, Snake, Olimar and ICs are the only characters whose success is rooted in more than just 2 outstanding individuals and Snake is still the most successful one out of those 4.

I give Pikachu the nod over Falco because Pikachu is 100% viable as a solo-main, that's not the case for Falco. Falco still has a powerful character design but his match-ups against ICs and Pikachu - both top tier in my book - *theoretically* make it impossible for him to compete as a solo character. I do think that he only loses those 2 match-ups and maybe Squirtle though.
