Super secret meet huh. No love.

Melee meets seem rather common (Although last minute), I'm hoping to get into it again as I'm likely to get my car next week.

I tried the number I had but maybe he changed numbers?
He needs to know about Kong Off!

Kong OFF needs to have commentary.
Its in the contract.

And Sloth, we did have commentary 4 years ago, and it was good.
Bring it back!

Usual stages and all DK levels, love it

Also some crew battle ideas:
Jackson 5: Jackson captains 4 guys vs some other boy band or girl group, spice girls, 5ive, Nsync or something
And
CoKheads vs the rest: people that attended the famed CoK tournament vs everyone else

I forgot about the CoK-Heads.
And its a pretty even split as well.

Could be done at every tourny.
We should do a trial run at the KONG OFF?
Of course it will be different when people go back to their normal characters but it should be good.
Whats the other teams name?
It should be something equally rude...

So Aaron, aka Queensland's FGC streamer/host of ButtonSmash, is looking to host biweeklies at his place for Smash on Saturday nights. Me and a handful of homies went over there a while ago and it seems like we could fit enough people for a tournament if we really wanted to. Aaron was also super nice as well and is quite keen to support the Smash scene.

Let me know if you're down for this and if so, if there's a particular Saturday where you want to kick things off.

Considering no one has posted about this weekend we assume there won't be a Kong Off or JBM, but thats fine, we had a better idea.

With Gords being our guest of honour after the lan smash fiasco (or will be better known as winter-smash gate)
Bob and I have decided to go all out and have the old House of Smash name back just for next weekend.
We will host 2 smash meets next week:
Kong Off 1 on Friday the 4th July from 7pm
then
A Sunday Meet the 6th July from 7:30pm

You know the score!
This is the Ultimate King of Kongs Battle to become Queensland's King of Kongs! (QKOK)
Doubles, Singles and the Crew Battle of the Century!
There will be a delicious prize for the Doubles and Singles Champions as well as best dressed!
And I might also throw in a prize for whoever can do the best recreation of the "Coconut Cream Pie" Dance from DK.

Following the tradition of the Famous DORF OFFs of 2010 drinking will be a major feature BUT not required.
There is a first choice within 200 metres of the house that shuts at 9pm.
There will also be a BBQ, bring some food if you can!

We already have 2 guests staying that night, BUT there is room for 2 people to stay over comfortably for the night but more can stay if they so Josiah.

Required Items - Some CRTs, Cube/melee and a recording/streaming setup (we have cable internet)

Sunday
This will be a more casual affair with N64, Smash and Movie Maker being featured if anyone is keen for that.
We will be playing Pokemon Puzzle League so hopefully we can get Kas.
We'll do a BBQ again or go out for dinner depending on peoples preferences.

If the Jackson's still want to host a meet Saturday night (which we encourage) feel free, but we feel obliged to host meets over that weekend after talking up lan smash and Gords coming up for it and lan smash been cancelled on us.

Of course, we will need to know if people prefer to do the Kong Off on the Saturday night rather than the Friday but people need to tell us.
Even if people prefer Saturday, have Kong Off then, we will still make a late appearance and will still be doing our meet Friday night in any case.

Can i confirm that someone is coming to the KONG OFF on Friday that can bring either a recording or streaming setup?

If the Friday isn't any good for anyone speak up now!

Just feels like a worrying lack of interest so far...
Considering how many people "liked" the initial video...

If anyone needs the address get in contact with Dino or myself.
It is in Browns Plains.

Yeah I can't do Friday night. Saturday/Sunday is fine though.

I can smash it up on Saturday only. I'm keen for something going on during the day especially if anyone wants to friendly up. Closer to city the better for me atm. (Due to non-car).

KONG OFF 1 is now locked in for Friday night in the Stains.
Got enough interest now.
Just hope we can get a recording and or streaming setup.

Hopefully a meet still happens on Saturday for Gords to go to.

I'll be there on friday. I can bring my laptop and stream, it's just a bit ****ty (mic sucks, only one usb port etc.)

If someone brings an external HDD I could just record everything to that, should be able to manage that
