WELL!!....
i got some good news and some bad news.
GOOD news: i can start going to tournys again
BAD news: i can only attend on the school holidays.
but i will try to make it to lan smash but probs wont tho.
Anyway, i guess playing smash is good news all around.

in some very very sad news: i lent my gamecube, my spare controllers, and a copy of melee to a friend and he lost them at uni.
so if anybody sees a cheap copy of melee around or a gamecube give me a yell, i need to refill my equipment supply.

I have a working (black) gamecube and copy of melee in good condition, both are collecting dust in my wardrobe but I'm not prepared to sell it

Adelaide is having a major/national in July, and (before the" lol Adelaide, crap city", start) the minimum prize for first place is $450 and most of the best players in the country from both games will be there.
Nova has basically been sponsoring people from all over Australia to attend.
Brawl side:

Basically, the only state Nova hasn't offered some sort of sponsorship for, is Queensland (Perth don't count). He said to me he WILL sponsor (pay return flights from Brisbane to Adelaide) for a top (Kas, Syke, Ryan, etc) Queensland Melee player.

So if a Melee player is interested, either contact Nova (he's banned from Smashboards attm) directly on youtube (the video link above is his username on youtube), or add his hotmail: Metamorphazone@hotmail.com.
The deal pretty much applies until the end of this month, but considering the attendance rate, the money you'd be saving not paying flights, only food and possible (shared) accommodation is a deal that should definitely be taken seriously, given the huge prize for 1st.

Knowing his family, probably drug money. He works a fair bit and won like $5000 in Blackjack recently, and I think he's semi-retiring so he's just boosting the tourney a whole heap.

Zydron I think the best thing for you to do atm is to watch videos and analyse them as well as reading character match up threads. Playing wi-fi probably wouldn't hurt either.

Zydron, before I joined the smash scenes. My only friends were the cpus, combo videos, lolfi and my grandpa (for melee).
lolfi is very annoying but it kinda helps you with knowledges and.... stuff. While playing in the lag you'll be raging but once you get used to it, you'll obtain sharingan for offline matches.
Alternately, go MK.

I beat jaice's characters consistently with Ike (except Olimar who is bald and gay) so don't throw him away just yet. Use that nuetral air to it's fullest potential, and learn how and when to use moves so you don't leave yourself in lag afterwards.
Ike is great and imo should be higher on the tier.

god i miss those melee nights, eating "daim" and yelling and screaming, will definitely come up later this year, but still not healthy or rich enough to move back up =(
