The following list are those stages listed as counter picks by the SBR:
I'll cite reasoning as to why the following stages suck/I might consider them.

Corneria:
Campy, wall, short death walls. Favours MK, Snake and Dedede heavily.

Green Hill Zone:
Two permanent walkoffs, No thanks.

Jungle Japes:
I don't mind this stage to be honest.

Norfair:
I don't know how in the heck this became counter-pick. This stage sucks.

Pirate Ship:
Stage hazards, Falling section.

Pokémon Stadium 2:
Wind form is atrocious, electric form detracts from gameplay, Ice form detracts from game play.,

Yoshi's Island (Pipes): Walkoff on the right, low ceiling.

Ok the point of this post is that Mister Caotique is throwing a massive, uber Melbourne scrub tourney that the Jei would very much like to attend. This tourney falls on the Qld Buddy tourney weekend and now I'm torn as to which one to display my noob Pit in.

Pros and Cons to bailing on my Qld adventure and staying in Melbourne:

PROS-
Save that little extra moneys for my Japan trip.
Attend yet another undoubtedly awesome Cao tourney, sure to be filled with bunny rabbits and rainbows.
Be able to lend a helping hand for the tournament.
Avoid possible manrape-slash-mass bukkake by NOT going to Qld.
No planning or booking of flights.

CONS-
Jei always loves going to different places.
Will not see some of my most fav ppl ie. Sloth, Juggy, Kas and Syke at a lesser extent.
Will not be able to show you Qlders how scary Pit can be *wink*.....*gay wink to Kas*
Avoid possible manrape-slash-mass bukkake by NOT going to Qld.
Probable annoyance to Vyse for being such an indecisive *******.
Always love vsing new ppl in smash, obviously if I don't go I won't get that opportunity until next year in Adelaide.
Always up to represent whatever it is I feel the need to represent, in this case the Melbourne smash community.

What should I do?

I never thought I'd have to deal with clashing tournament dates in Australia. **** Manifest. What's more, if I bring the tournament forward, it clashes with Animania in Brisbane. I'm not particularly worried about that, only that the clash in dates there could hurt our chances of random people coming to our tournament.

And since Cao is running the manifest tournament, I'm pretty sure that means he won't be coming. At least on the current date.

So it's either bring the tournament forward by a week, or push it back by a week (In which case Jei Jei would miss out anyway because of his Japan trip).

I'll leave it to Caotique and Jei. If they can confirm that they could come one week early, then I'll pull the tourney date back one week.

Otherwise the date will remain as is.

I already understand that Cao has financial concerns for the plane ticket, and that Jei needs monies for Japan. So if you guys want to cancel on the tournament, nobody could blame you.

We have to look at it from a future success standpoint.

It would be better for the Melbourne crew to justify flying up together for a future tournament, rather than come to this one.

It's unfortunate that you 3 can't come (Unless Redact still wants to). But then it means, the following tournament will be all the more appealing to the Melbournites.

I just have a good reason not to now, but at the moment I'm leaning towards going.

Melbourne's Manifest Anime convention is the same weekend, and Cao is running its Brawl tournament.

Tommorow I talk to Maree again to upgrade the venue, but it also means we'll be another $200 out of pocket. Assuming all four events run, I'll be stealing $50 from each pot.

also wasn't it manifest conflicting? i haven't checked it out, as i said before, the cost is the concern for me

I can bring up to 4 TVs (again :embarrass) although I may not have the heavy artillery (car space) to carry that many.
And that would cut into the amount of people I can carry.
But with the magic of trains and multiple (short) trips we can make things yummy. Oh yes.

That is of course only if such an amount of TVs would be needed. (You have lots already right)
And would we have enough Wiicubes to go with em all rar?

So yes, heaps of room, only 1 actual bed is spare (double and super comfy, Bryce can confirm this, at least I think he found it comfy I couldn't read his minds while sleeping) but there is also a couch. According to popular opinion the floor is more comfortable than the couch.
Which isn't knocking the couch but rather saying how nice the floor is.
And Dino slept in my room for a week and didn't die (comfy rug). much.
