It will basically be a regurgitation of what I have told some folks from NSW

and hopefully everyone can then see where I'm coming from

Anyways, I'm going to have to re-evaluate my attendance for this event from being confirmed to being unconfirmed, solely because of prohibitive flight costs. I'm sure tax returns will do something though, we shall see ey?

Is catching trains so daunting? Even though it would take a day or two, the cost is minimal, I'm sure you can take a nice nap and amuse yourself with zeh musics.

Hell, train to sydney, pick up Kulla, then you can have thumb wars all the way up to QLD :)

I don't know where you get the idea taking the train from Melbourne to Brisbane would be minimal - it's not, lol. Not to mention 4 hours of flights > 40 hours of trains. I don't have 40 hours to waste, I'm a full-timer dude :)

If only there was CAOTIC's stupid rule in place - that rule was amazing for OOS'ers

So say that you win the first match against me.

I then get to choose the stage. This is what counter-picking is. The loser gets to counter-pick their stage, and then gets to counter-pick their character once the opponent has chosen theirs.

The following list are those stages listed as counter picks by the SBR:
I'll cite reasoning as to why the following stages suck/I might consider them.

Corneria:
Campy, wall, short death walls. Favours MK, Snake and Dedede heavily.

Green Hill Zone:
Two permanent walkoffs, No thanks.

Jungle Japes:
I don't mind this stage to be honest.

Norfair:
I don't know how in the heck this became counter-pick. This stage sucks.

Pirate Ship:
Stage hazards, Falling section.

Pokémon Stadium 2:
Wind form is atrocious, electric form detracts from gameplay, Ice form detracts from game play.,

Yoshi's Island (Pipes): Walkoff on the right, low ceiling.

I think we should help you out.

I just dont know how, maybe divvy up some prize monies for compensation? (should you fail to win, which apparently is unlikely)

Syke: Vyse is trying his hardest man, cut him some slack, hes really doing a good job as far as I can tell.

EDIT: Ok point taken. Im trying to do my best with limited resources and time as well.

We just take those who do what they do for us for granted.
It becomes so much more... unfun when someone quits, mainly a main role.
Like Zac, when he quit, STDs and meets and such turned to poop.

Something did change ~ Vyse stepped it up. Hopefully you guys make sure he knows it's going to be worth his while. There's nothing worse than sacrificing countless hours to end up having people spit in your face.

Vyse I hope you know you're wasting your time and that your efforts will go to waste due to the dying breed of Smashers over the age of 14, your efforts since that point onwards have been nothing more than futile and I hope you know that by doing this, you're only burdening the people you are trying to include.

And i stopped hosting meets purely upon the fact that I live too far away now. If I still had my old place there'd be meets every sunday still. I plan on getting back into the scene sometime soon.
