Grim, I don't think that's correct. I could've sworn that I read a thread about brawl port priority that tried to justify the explosion "immunity" (since the benefactor is the one with the latest port, it was perceived as a way to balance the advantage p1 gets)

They may have been wrong, who knows.

How could I be off by a few frames if they were both buffered out of un-pause? Pretty sure buffering doesn't allow for timing mistakes.

I have frame perfect button-pressing any way, I never screw up the Name Entry glitch in Melee :p

lol omg that punch line was classy
just so long as we can agree on a mutual, undeserved frowning upon for Canadians.

I don't know nearly as much as I'd like to about Australia, except I know aboriginal people don't have words for left and right.

apparently your culture is the worst of Irish, British and American. I assume this means that you are red headed (bad), have either a girly or incomprehensible accent (worse), and play Mario kart on battle mode(unacceptable).

It's like teching throws in other fighting games, not really a new concept, and it would be pretty much the same as clanking ground moves.
That's what I understood from what you guys said, but is it worth it?
Port priority has never seemed like a big issue to me, was it in vbrawl?
Port priority is a pretty big issue, yeah. It affects a lot of things, but the things that really stand out to me as detrimental to competitive play are suicide moves and who takes the knockback when both players are hit during a grab. The latter only really happens in 1v1s when there is a Snake involved (or the occasional stage hazard), but in teams it can happen a lot.

And I've responded to your application in the most serious of manners.

:troll:

Idea just like that. Do you guys feel that reducing the endlag of puting a mine in place (E.g. stick on another character) could be a good thing for Snake? The only reason I'm saying this is that it might make the move less punishable. I don't mean to say that Snake is weak, but I think that this little add-on can add some technical aspects to the character. I'm thinking of a solid wavedash-stick-mine game.

Oh, and the Project M smashmods forum is getting more activity, join in the fun.

The endlag was ALREADY reduced comparing to Brawl.

Being able to crawl over them and put them away(terminate it without damage) would help, though I can't think that would be feasible to code.

The issue is that you can't rely on the mine in all matchups. Would you EVER rely on the mine for KOs and such against Sheik or a Fox that can Waveshine?

I believe he was referring to the C4, not the mine.

I think the endlag is fine how it is now. It's punishable, yes, but the rewards for sticking someone are immense. You can get guaranteed vertical KOs at about half the % that you could otherwise.

If you get your timing right, you can run right up to them and perfect shield.

If you drop down towards it from the air and dodge downwards, you'll trigger it in the middle of your invincibility frames. It'll explode, you'll take no damage. And your opponent will be wondering how the **** you did that.

Although it does lose the reference to claymores in the games. At least it's practical for fighting as/against snake.

That's a great help.

I wish it was safe to sticky from Uthrow, but this is nice.

Still needs a revamped forward B. At the very least please make the missile transcend priority and go through everything for the sake of it's slowness.

Or a new one entirely.

Either make the missile not lose speed when turning, reduce the endlag after the missile explodes or is dropped in control, make it not get deflected, or just do a new one altogether.

LMAO. Just saw standardtoaster's avater. Happy, happy, happy, curesento!
Anyway, I think sideB turning without loss of speed would be a good idea.
