Heh, as soon as I leave this news pops up. Nice work once again Dant. It's great fun just imagining the potential this gives all modders, not just PM. We all look forward to the continued development of Mewtwo and Roy, and hopefully, their eventual addition into the final build of PM

In fact, thanks everyone that's helped me for the advice. However, I don't like feeling responsible for keeping this thread off-topic with my interest in getting a capture card, lol. I'll continue to do my homework and see if I figure out what I want.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. No one said Roy, Mewtwo and Pichu will be in the game, though I would certainly be very fine with it. If people can make GOOD PSAs that are actually balanced and aren't from Naruto, it could be amusing.

Although I feel like the Project M devs have no interest in creating new characters, Ridley should work his way into the game. That is, if the clone engine ever gets to be functional without replacing someone else He was one of the few that I was actually surprised about NOT being playable in brawl. Stupid SSE >.> I remember when I was little I was told he was unlockable in melee, and I believed it since he was in the opening sequence haha

Last time I checked, there were only 2 Naruto PSA's (not counting the one I'm working on, since it's a revamp).
You may be confused with Shadow PSA's.

Could be. I don't follow PSAs much. Or rather, I could confuse with the amount of Naruto texture.

Edit: I just prefer having actual Nintendo chatacters in my CSS, and getting them balanced usually requires a LOT of work.

If you're looking for a capture card, don't buy easycap, I borrowed a capture card from my friend to record the videos I have on youtube and it happened to be easycap.

It will give you many problems, specially audio problems. Be sure to have virtualdub around to compact those 5 minutes 9 gig .avi videos to around 200 mb .avi videos.

ironically, he didn't asked the easycap back yet.

I got Diamond VC 600, works okay if you have Flash media live encoder. Without it, you're screwed though.

Hi all, I've been lurking this thread for quite some time now, and I'm excited to see the the clone engine is coming along nicely!

As for new characters being added to Project M, I think that the initial release of Project M should include those characters that were excluded from Brawl, and that is it.



That being said, I think it would be swell for the team (assuming they have the free time) to perhaps make a list of user created characters that are unofficially deemed "balanced", or suitable for Project M without making them a roster character. This way I can feel ok about playing with a character in Project M that may not be a part of the game, but is at least recognized as balanced in the eyes of the team.



Then, later on in the games life, it would be interesting to have some kind of Project M promotional tournament, where the winner can select any character they wish from the unofficial list to become part of the roster. This is the only way I could see new characters being added (democratically and fairly without stepping on toes) to Project M, but let me tell you this.... The furthest I've ever driven for a tournament was new york. But I'd take a plane to cali if it meant I could get Banjo-Kazooie as an official roster character. Just some food for thought for the team.





I also have a question about the character G&W. Last night during Leelue's stream I asked him if he could demonstrate G&W's neutral B and if he could fast fall this move upon doing it in the air. I do think it is great that he now cancels his frying pan when he lands on the ground, but I feel like there isn't enough control over it to make it an approach. I feel like if Falco and Fox can both control their fast falls during their Neutral B's then G&W should be able to as well.


If there is something I am overlooking feel free to point it out, I'm simply curious.

I just pretty much assumed that anything unpolished wouldn't make it into M. Didn't think it was worth mentioning.

Indeed, that is why I think it would be awesome to have an unofficial list of character that they deem fit for Project M's environment without making them roster characters. That way if I want a new character to play with, even just for fun, I'll have a quality list to look over without having to feel like I'm playing a broken game. That way even though they aren't official, the are still official. Ya know?

Other than Roy and M2 I don't really want any other character unless it's a girl. We need more girls in smash. I hoped to have Micaiah, Eirika, Lyn, Krystal, Jody, Midna(kind of a stretch) or any other Ninty female but all we got was Zamus, which is just another version of Samus. :/

And lol @ chatroom thing. Should probably spend some time there.
