You can't shorthop at different heights. You can only shorthop and fullhop.

It sounds like your problem is that you're not going into the laser input quickly enough to have time to shoot two lasers.
alright i'm gonna post a vid tomorrow you think you'd be willing to critique me?

idk what it is lol I'm just assuming something is wrong somewhere because mine has never taken more than 5-10 seconds to load
I have a feeling it may have to do with the age of your Wii, Disc, and your USB/whatever you're using. It'll slowly get worse.

Soon as the writer said "This isn't how you play Brawl!" I pretty much disregarded every other point he was trying to make. There is no true way of playing Brawl, or any game for that matter. Play the game in the way you enjoy it the most.

For that reason, I really want Smash 4 to have a very varied online lobby system so the players can have as much freedom as they want when playing against each other.

The better question is, why is Riivolution even an option if the loading times are bad enough to literally disrupt matches mid-game? This goes beyond just taking a long time to boot the game or load individual matches.
because, in my case, i literally cannot use a gc controller with pm through gecko. it refuses to recognize it, but they work just fine for brawl. i was in irc with dant and even he ran out of troubleshooting ideas for the damned thing : /

and @sanity: you're the odd man out here. you either have some really awesome setup (in which case, i'm jealous : /) or you're not loading from an sd card (which may make it slower? not really sure on this...). all i know is that when i go to load riivo up from the mainpage, it takes two or three minutes, up from about 30 seconds when i had nothing but "vanilla" pm on it originally. changing shiek to zelda (or vice versa) doesn't take quite as long as it did in that vid from ryoko, but it's not as quick as even a vbrawl transformation would be.

They all have equal odds. Previous 2 numbers swung can't be rolled and they all have an equal weight of 1, so that makes each available hammer number a 1/7 chance (weight of the available number / total weight of available numbers), which they've always been.

Isn't that the way it worked in Brawl? I thought it got modified for some reason, like it only excluded the last number thrown instead of the last 2. Don't even remember where I got that misinformation.

Brawl had a 1 in both of the last used slots at the start of a match (normally impossible), so the first hammer of the match only couldn't be a 1 with 2-9 having a 1/8 chance, then they were all 1/7 after that. I changed it to have a 1 and 2 at the start of the match.

Unchanged from both Brawl and Melee. In other words, you're just getting lucky.

reasons i play g&w = reasons i win matches

i'm too good at getting 9's when they matter.
i generally only switch off him in tournament for matchups i know are absolute garbage and ROB does better in pretty much every bad G&W matchup. like marth.

lol riivolution is so silly.

If anyone wants to help make a funcitonal version of Summit, go to Mccdbz5's thread in the customized content board. We could use the help.

Hey, I've been having C stick issues for forever in Project M and other brawl mods. like, I hit something on the C stick and sometimes it comes out, sometimes it doesn't. This never happened in melee, only in brawl. I've heard similar issues from other people, and I've seen other people have these issues in person. Should I submit this as a bug?

I have had this issue on multiple controllers, all of which do not have issues in Melee. Some are wavebirds I've had for maybe 8 years. One is a japanese white controller I've had for 3 years. Others are first party used controllers obtained from amazon. I think it has something to do with the angle they are being pressed, but I am not really sure and have not really extensively tested this. I also believe that it is an issue with brawl itself, not necessarily Project M. An australian friend reported issues with a 360 controller playing brawl in emulation. It may be an issue with the way P:M alters C stick behavior, but I have noticed issues with this since demo 1.

Do you release the stick completely between presses?

I can definitely vouch for the c-stick being faulty but I think it is mostly timing/user error. I think completely releasing it is extremely important.

Brawl C-Stick is weird in that it has to be reset to neutral before taking any more inputs. Try doing a smash with the C-Stick and then making circles with it. Nothing happens. It's annoying but you just have to make a habit out of letting go of it before attacking again.

Lol bug. Just reset your controller. No big deal, happens sometimes.

Super lol @ complaints about having the cstick return to neutral.

What's so crucial to a space animal that you can't risk .1 seconds to let the stick flick back to neutral? Its basically the same as pressing a button repeatedly.

6 frames is actually a big deal, since 2 frames of delay was causing the game to feel clunky (the whole input delay thing fixed in 2.5). If you're gonna use a measurement of time, gotta realize how it relates to the gameplay.

That's not what I'm talking about. When will you ever need the cstick repeatedly in such a manner that letting it return to neutral before the next input would be a hinderance? When will you ever actively think "**** man, he got me right before I csticked the 3rd time"

Oh, I didn't know about the return to neutral thing. Has anyone considered fixing that? Or increasing the dead zones so more areas count as neutral?
