Let me get through FC first, but I've been talking to Alex Strife on occasion about the subject. PM will not be entirely absent at APEX, that's for sure.

I don't think they should cancel it. But, due to how short it'll be, they should add PM teams to the tournament.

Also, I predict a Jigglypuff is going to place 1st.

The only Ike's that are registered for FC AFAIK are BC's Rusty Shacklefurd and Ycz.

Their both pretty good, but I doubt either one of them will place top 4 with such big names competing
From what I saw a couple months ago, Vro's Ike was beating big-name IL players in friendlies very convincingly and he's recently been winning all the P:M tournaments in IL. Unless he gets owned by the bracket, I wouldn't be surprised if Vro places within the top 4.

I have my doubts about a sheik doing well.

Most sheik mains are turned off by the dthrow nerf. They have no idea how to use it in correlation to bthrow and don't even bother figuring out anything else with her.

Actually I main Sheik in melee (picked her up only ~4 months ago and mained YL before that) and in PM I didn't want to have anything to do with her because of the dthrow difference and I didn't want to main the same character that I did in melee.

Recently though, I picked her/him up again in PM because I felt like it would help me cover more MUs that I find difficult to deal with as TL. I've gotten used to using bthrow and dthrow together as mix-ups and it's not so bad once you get used to it.

I doubt I'll use her/him very much at FC though, and I'm with you for the most part that I can foresee not many people using her because of the difference. I do, however, see shielda being used quite a bit at FC and I'd be genuinely surprised if we didn't see her/him being used.

I personally think you could just make the angle somewhere inbetween PAL and NTSC, and then leave B-throw to set up spacies for edgeguarding opportunities like in Melee, but whatever.

I guess I should try it out before I make judgement.

If you have good read the Bthrow-Dthrow setup is soooooo overpowered...it's not really a nerf...if anything it's possibly a hidden buff....

on another note...please remove sheik's Side-B I don't care if you even give her a side-B but I after 10+ years of a stupid side-b and one that can lead to death....I'm just so tired of seeing it. I can't take it anymore...please remove it....or take away the end lag in the air....

I'm mainly talking about when off edge. If the Chain Comes out you will die. It's just....silly. I see no reason why it should exist that way. I can understand it not being tether but tethers aren't really that broken anymore but sheik getting one may be a little much....still...would be nice if there was some way to get back the the ledge if you pulled out a Side-B....It's one of the more heartbreaking deaths.

Should remove Sing while we're at it. SD'ing because of accidentally using Sing instead of a rising Pound.

Jokes aside, as far as I know, it's never really been much of an issue besides messing up your upB input direction.

Hey so, duno if it's just something wonky with my PM build, but what's up with some of the items? More specifically, the Starman. Starman, and a few other items, only spawn stickers instead of what they should actually be. I know items aren't a priority, but it kind of urks me not being able to practice shield pressure, among other things, in training because a certain few items don't work. I suppose they just haven't really been tested yet?

At the very least, I would think they'd of not been changed lol.

Can anyone explain?

Timer, curry, and starman are replaced with stickers because the codes that we use bugged up those items majorly. Timer had ridiculous changes to physics and made you fly about if grabbed, starman does not last the appropriate amount of time (stops as soon as you do something), etc. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

i have a question for the pm devs.

i'm gonna use lucas as an example. lucas has a long wavedash. it's 2nd longest out of the entire cast iirc. i wanted to know if this was "given" to him, for lack of a better word. like, did lucas have his traction values or whatever ported to pm and bam there you go? or was his stuff tweaked to give him a long wavedash? or his dacus? that was really badly worded but i hope you understand.

Ah, okay. That makes a lot more sense, lol.

No big deal, thanks for the insight.
