wat. you don't watch my streams then lol.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFS9aWeJt4I&feature=fvst
Awesome players. Is there a reason people play melee at a more aggressive pace than PM when PM is supposed to be like melee? I mean i see you guys play extremely safe and a lot of times not very combo focused. Also where are the footstool combos?
This. But footstools lead to some awesome ****.Footstool combos?
You can tech if you get footstooled onstate.
What exactly do you mean onstate? Can you tech if falco does : Shine>jump>FS>spike/jab reset?Footstool combos?

Some moves have messed up "momentum" vertically because of SCD. Fox and Link have second jumps that are "off" because of it.what's wrong with fox's double jump?
A lot of double jumps don't give as much height as their Melee counterparts unless an aerial is performed as early as possible.what's wrong with fox's double jump?
Onstage. I was trying footstool combos with Falco throughout the entirety of the demo's duration and yes. You can tech away, in place, etc as soon as you hit the ground. Footstooling on stage is a slightly worse tech chase generating mechanism because it does the exact same thing, except that you're not already on the ground to follow up on a techchase. Still relies on preemptive reads, but I don't think it allows you to cover options as "thoroughly" as a normal one would. What exactly do you mean onstate? You are right bout all that FS are really more bout style than efficiency on stage. I have my controls set up for easy access to FS and such (FS on X and Jump on Y only) im gonna experiment with them next week.Onstage. Tell me what JC-Shine, dair, jab reset doesn't do that throwing FS into there does? You're still relying on people falling asleep at the wheel and staying in hard knock down state. The footstool animation on stage, especially low off the ground onstage doesn't generally allow for you to land and do things fast enough unless they've really ****ty rolls (like GnW).
Don't get me wrong though, I think footstooling has the potential to be REALLY REALLY REALLY good/gay, especially for characters like Fox/Marth and maybe some characters that have trouble generating kills offstage (because FS offstage is still godlike), but onstage, I think it's going to be rather limited.
if you want fast, technical, and aggressiveness gameplay watch SNPR's streams. For good laughs and generally decent gameplay watch NEKO's stream. Both are ussually good.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFS9aWeJt4I&feature=fvst

Yeah I know, it's sad isn't it?we won't have salt for like 8 months
I jump with X, shield with R, L-cancel with L, and everything in between with MK. Sometimes I grab with Z, but otherwise I pick MK.Also i wanted to ask ya'll what finger do you use to jump because i use my index finger which is always sideways on my Y button and my friends seem to find this strange when ever they have my name on.

I don't think they are interested seeing the current state of the game. Its really not anyones task at hand but the pm devs, to try and step out and garner support from Active melee players. The state of northwest indiana and chicago metropolitan area is really saturated with brawl fanatics... it would definitely be a lot easier to build a following in a given area for projectm if someone who supported the project had access to a semi-updated build. Tink and kels don't even want to take a min out to play a match of pm, let alone applying for a position. You guys should also try to get one of the active IL people such as Kels, Tink, ORLY, etc. to apply, if they're interested.
I always use L to L-cancel and L to shield. And use R to wavedash with everyone and roll. I alternate jump buttons depending on character oddly enough. My mains Ness and Samus I use Y to jump the timing for their wavedashes are almost identical, Other characters like Fox , IC's, Luigi, Mario, I also use Y to jump. I use X to jump with characters like Link, Ganon, DK and Falco. I don't know why, I guess to create different mustle memory for different characters who have vastly different timings on their WD's lol. What button do you guys use for WDing and L-Canceling? It alternates for me, but typically sticks to R. I also WD oos with one button most of the time.
Actually this too, I switch to claw for certain things also, double shines is one of them, I also do it when I spam pills with Doc, Use Y to Jumb and B to hit pills immediatlyMonkey Claw hold for multishining and other specific techniques.
To be frank, adding in additional PMBR members just to spread hype to lesser-represented areas really isn't worth it. Demo 2 is coming out in the nearish-future, and we don't need to risk adding players that aren't up to our standards just to "fill in" for a few months.Hahaha I know you guys have let people in the backroom for "PR" reasons, general support of the project, and not the overall raw skill level, so I don't know why you would continue to be nazi seekers of previous melee tournament victors and such that you seek now. All it really does is a disservice to the project, and to the ones who really could rally support in their area for a project that really needs a strong following of both new players and veterans alike.
