Hey. I understand why people think TP is the best.

It makes a messy situation clean again which is good cause nobody wants to get a rash.

I love Zelda games. My favorite Nintendo series since I was 2. But those the in particular are still bad games. I enjoy pretty much all the others though.
Bad games in your opinion.
They are objectively good; to dispute that is entirely your preference.

Just bear in mind that it's contradicting reality if you're trying to pass off your feeling as fact.

Alrighty everyone in your opinion, whats the worst or rather your least favorite Zelda game of the series? ( not including the cd versions and stuff).
Im gonna say my least favorite is either the Minish cap or phantom hourglass. I just really didn't like anything about either games.
There are no outright bad games in the series.
PH's boat controls are wack, though, euugh.

Don't shoot! Opinion incoming!

I'm gonna get shot over this opinion, but I really prefer the 2D Zelda games to the 3D ones. For the most part, I find the combat and story in Zelda games the least interesting part. It's all about finding secrets and solving puzzles to me. Not to say that the combat is bad, and the storytelling tends to be excellent (even when the stories are largely excuse plots), but those aren't why I play Zelda games, and I find that there's a greater emphasis on combat and story in the 3D games (where there's far more room for those things). Ergo, my favourite Zelda is Oracle of Ages, as it's got just enough story to be coherent, but not enough to overshadow the rest of it. That's just a byproduct of being a 2D Zelda, though. OoA stands out because of the focus it has on puzzles.

Hehehehe, just kidding. Screw 3D Zelda. 2D Zelda Master Race. Shots fired, son.

In my own opinion, I loved TP. Best one for me, I enjoyed the game so much. The Wii controls worked flawlessly for me and made my experience with it amazing.

Twilight Princess has IMO one of the best storylines in the franchise.
That, and they didn't downplay death and suffering AT ALL in-game.

It was a fulfilling change of pace, for once.

And so we have went into Hylian's territory.

Skyward sword was just like X and Y for me. Claimed to have hand holding but I didn't notice it.
I won't lie, I got bored of it at first. But after I fought Ghirahim the first time IT WAS ON.

Skyward is probably one of my favorites. Only thing I didn't really like was the boss fights with the imprisoned.

Twilight Princess was fun but I never finished it. Data got deleted and game went missing. I recently came into a copy my friend got for me though and I intend to start it soon since school is almost over. I got to the sky temple right before I lost my data. Sucks.

Favorite Legend of Zelda is probably Majora's Mask.

Majora's Mask.

Also, that sounds really edgy.

Majora's Mask, Link Between Worlds and Wind Waker are the best Zelda games because I said so. (and has nothing at all to do with the fact that those are the only ones I beat...)

I haven't managed to borrow ALBW from any of my friends yet, but from what I hear, you missed out on a lot of nostalgia by playing it w/o ever having played ALttP.

I'd sort of say the same thing, just a little bit, about you playing MM and WW [which combine to make ()() ] w/o having played oot. Coincidentally, I keep misreading oot as oos because I spend way more time talking about smoosh bras than I do about zelder.

Not really the main point of it for me.

The nostalgia was just "Hey I remember that!", "OH LOOK THE MASTER SWORD", and "OH **** I CAN UPGRADE IT JUST LIKE IN A LINK TO THE PAST"

Other than that, it was just a really good game.

I almost forgot, @ Hylian Hylian did you stream at any time this week? I've been busy with school and work so I might have missed it :(
I'm streaming smash practice every day now, but I haven't done another Hylicast, been too busy :/. Might do another one this wed and invite Sethlon onto the show to talk about stuff as well.

Speaking of that I'm about to stream some more practice right now :p.

Also with the zelda talk:

My top 4:

1. Majoras Mask
2. Wind Waker
3. ALttP
4. Ocarina of Time

Let me know when you do another Hylicast, watching you play Sonic was the best lol

1. MM
2. WW
3. OoT
4. OoX (Seasons/Ages)

I think TP builds up the first half of its story with strong pacing and then proceeds to take the biggest dump on it in the second half where it's almost completely neglected. Also, the whole Ilia memory restoration thing, Zant's character assassination, and Ganondorf being incredibly boring.

God Tier (aka my favourite game):
1. Majora's Mask

Top Tier:
2. Oracle of Seasons/Ages
3. Ocarina of Time
4. A Link to the Past
5. A Link Between Worlds

High Tier:
6. Skyward Sword
7. Link's Awakening
8. Wind Waker

Mid Tier:
9. Twilight Princess
10. Legend of Zelda
11. Phantom Hourglass
12. Spirit Tracks

"Okay" Tier:
13. Minish Cap
14. Four Sword Adventures

Nope, Never Again Tier:
15. Adventure of Link

Haven't Played Tier:
?. Four Swords GBA

Source : I play them all every two years or so, except Four Sword Adventures, because I don't own it, but I'm SURE I liked it better than Adventure of Link (sorry Shadic). I honestly could go more into depth about how much I like each game, or what I feel it did right/wrong, but I don't think anyone would read a wall of incoherent text.

Nintendo needs to get with the times and make 5 "New Adventure of Link" games that are exactly the same as Zelda 2 with 3D graphics and new levels. :yeahboi:

Despite your sarcasm, a modern "Adventure of Link" styled side-scrolling Zelda game with actual item play would actually be amazing.

If you wanna play a side-scroller where you're lost all the time and its hard as balls you should play La-Mulana.

Yeah I could see it working very well if they made the controls and items better.
