I've never played FF7. I just bought it on steam though and plan on streaming it at some point.

The only final fantasy game I've beaten is FF3. The first FF game I played was FFX-2 and I got about 4 hours into it before I quit and wondered why everyone liked FF lmao. Then I find out it's horrible so .

A lot of good games end up starting out slow.

Every tales of game starts out slow to me. All the cool stuff is later on lol.

The first game that comes to mind that I think starts off fast and maintains that drive is Ocarina of time.

Games starting slowly is fine if it's done the right way.
Being slow because you have to sit through a couple hours of tutorial gameplay though... yeah that's not the right way.

Game design was better when games didn't try to hold your hand. The player should be able to learn (almost) every mechanic that they will need to know just from messing around at the start of the game.
Look at something like Mario 64. Had the game been made today you would spend 45 minutes learning how to jump. Rather, they just put you in a little sandbox with no danger where you could learn the controls yourself before even setting foot inside the first level. ****ing smart.

Probably Exdeath, if only for the fact that his back story is just stupid. He's not some grand knight like he appears to be, he's a tree wearing armor. A tree that absorbed an army of evil souls after the defeat of some grand warloc eons ago, gained sentience, and decided the world needed to be erased. He's entirely one-dimensional and has no personality aside from an evil repetitive laugh.

Avocado happens to be the main ingredient for guac tho . Avocado is great because it goes so well with other ingredients. Avocado on a sandwhich? **** yeah. Avovado on a burger? **** yeah. Avocad on Sushi? **** yeah..it's really just one of the best things ever to put on stuff. It doesn't overpower the flavor of other things and instead just adds amazingness.

So I got third at a Texas local in Lindale today (technically yesterday).
Unfortunately there only seemed to be two notable PM players there so it's not really an accomplishment since I didn't beat anyone amazing...
BUT I did take AeroLinkSwordMaster to game five in Loser's finals, my ROB vs his Link (I actually lost the first game as M2).
I'm pretty pleased with how quickly I got a handle on the matchup, although it wasn't quite fast enough to win.
I also **** all over his TL in some seriouslies but his TL is not as good as his Link so that doesn't mean anything really.
Denti was there also... I never got to play him unfortunately. The two of them took second and first respectively ahead of me.

FFX-2 is actually really good, and the large majority of its detractors elsewhere on the internet are boorish morons who are insecure about their sexuality. I can see how you may have disliked it, though. Note that I say this as a notable detractor of JRPGs in general.

Attack on Titan has a really interesting setting and mysteries, and for some reason decides to ignore all of it in favor of banal interpersonal drama and political intrigues. Not sure if that'll float your boat.
