If you airdodged in a way that would have given you a no distance air dodge you go no distance. I'm wondering why the cancel existed in Melee in the first place, and got more distance in Brawl? I'm also wondering how many variants of distance an air dodge and AGT have, I think grounded has 3

I don't know about regular GT, but AGT is mad important in PM.
Glide tossing is a little more character specific than AGT; as glide toss distance varies from character to character some characters don't have much use (plenty get literally zero distance from a successful glide toss) but some characters get very noticeable distance. Even if your character doesn't get any distance from a glide toss though you should still know how to do it because when playing against an item character it can open up OOS options.

Of the characters that can produce their own items I think Link and Toon Link don't get any distance from glide tossing iirc. Diddy, Peach and ROB have usable glide tosses.
Anybody know if Yoshi is still completely incapable of glide tossing? I think his innability to do it in Brawl is due to his shield mechanics but they are different in PM. Not sure if it makes him able to glide toss though.

I thought Link and Tink both had tremendously helpful AGTs. It's especially helpful for Tink to move in with projectiles using it as well as recovering by doing upwards AGTs.

K guys this is a serious question right here.
In context of this game... the same rules apply.
"Don't get hit by the things you don't want to get hit by, and hit them with the things you want to hit them with." Also-Known-As "Smash" for short, means Step 1 = Don't get hit. Step 2 = See what happens after Step 1 and go from there. Either repeating Step 1, or hitting them.

In context of life... Step 1 = See if you can pet it, because it will probably turn into a pretty butterfly.

In other news, the peeps upstairs just got a new TV, their old TV is a 65" CRT and they're giving it away first come first serve, but it's too big too fit through the doorways that lead to the basement (where I dwell in the cavern of Smashiness) due to being 29" from front to back and having weird turns around the accesses to stairs here.
So I must find a local who will get it. Things like this must remain with the Smashers.
I'm not sure this is of concern to P:M even, but 65" CRT's are sexy enough to want either way.
On top of that, I should dress like that ^ and crawl up the stairs if they ever try dropping the TV off somewhere lame without my consent. That'll learn 'em!

I've found anthropomorphic wolves to be pretty weak to chain grabs and gimps. Honestly just optimize your punish game, there's no reason to not kill it every time you get the advantage.

On a more "serious" note, probably run up to the stairs, grab the rails and drop kick the **** out of it.

invite it to play PM?
So you play a first to 5 set. he choose's wolf and wins all 5 games, while 4-stocking you for the first 4 games ( He killed himself once on the 5th game). He murders you because of how ****ty u played. Congratz soft, your dead.
Heel kick to a vulnerable spot on the head or neck if it keeps approaching; a shot to temple is all that's needed to kill basically anything.
He dodge's your heel kick with his god-like speed. The shots to the temple have no affect. He charges at you and latches onto your throat and chomps down with tremendous force. Congratz Mech you are also dead

As you attempt to pet the wolf, he rips off your hands, tears out your eyeballs, and proceeds to maul you to death. Congratz Naus, you are also dead.

Catches your foot while you attempt to "drop kick the **** out of it", Tears off your leg, begins to eat you while your still alive. Congratz Garet, you died a sad death.
well my first instinct would be to choose Marth and take him to final destination, from there i could just chaingrab is *** and tipper him for the kill
He chooses Marth as well. He then begins to completely decimate you on the spot. You die from a shame attack. Congratz paradox, your dead.

All of you got mauled by the beast. In reality, smashboards would be preparing to mourn the loss of 5 smashers.

damn I hoping no one else knew how to stall on the edge while running. That banana stuff under battlefield must be the ultimate definition of shenanigans.

Brawl didn't give you any distance for an AGT since airdodges didn't change momentum
the same cancel was still available and was used for instant catch-throws or w/e they called them, since air dodges would both catch items and could be canceled into a throw. but it wasn't used to gain any momentum like it can be now
in fact I feel like being able to catch an item and cancel into a throw in the same airdodge probably invalidates certain character's ability to edgeguard with their items, once people are fluently able to do it (and some probably can). particularly ROB/diddy/peach

Who the **** has even cared about Yoshi since two decades ago?
The possibility of YIDS being good, except the part where it was outsourced.

I don't really get why they did it to the same company again. Yoshi's Island was probably one of Miyamoto's best works and it's not even treated like such.

Brawl's item throw cancelled air dodge allowed for some really hilarious momentum canceling.

G&W surviving fully charged smash attacks at 300% = lol
