Wario Land ain't the best, but it carved out such an awesome niche. Wario Land 3 is one of my top favorite platformers. I never liked that they ditched and forgot about that series (besides Shake It) to move on to this whole Microgames deal (and then base his Brawl moveset on it even though he has a dozen moves to pick from in Land).

Is Wario World actually a good game?

In my personal *biased* opinion, Wario world is a very good beat'em up/platformer.
The problem many people have from it is that.... well its short as ****. Like im pretty sure u could beat it in like 5 hours straight if one wanted to. And it really doesn't have much replay value.... sadly.
But its graphics are pretty good for its time, and the action is also pretty damn good. The level designs were well thought-out and creative.
Nice music, and the game is fun while it last. Wario's world is filled with fun for the whole family!
If u ever have the random sudden urge to play it, I highly suggest you do.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaan. I just had an 11 hour smash fest, yet all I can think about is one guy's negativity to everything. He's really skilled at melee, and almost has an equivalent amount of contempt for pm, and yet decides to play the latter and let everyone know about every detail or decision that's wrong and therefore deserves scorn from him. A player succeeds with something pm exclusive? then they deserve scorn as well.

And it's not even personal. I just played Falcon, so I didn't even get any personal attacks or anything.

Go play Melee with him, and complain about all the stupid **** in there. He plays fox? Tell him he's too fast, shine is broken, usmash kills too early for a fast character. Falco? Easy free no skill combos and easy free no skill laser approaches. Jiggs? Why the **** is bair so much better than every other move what ****ty design. Sheik? Easy free no skill grab combos. Marth? Man is that ****** boring every attack looks and feels the same. Peach? Who he **** is this camping turtling ***** why is melee so boring with floaty campy characters? There's something you can say for every top/high/high-mid tier. And all the rest are **** for balance, so just say something to the effect of "thank goodness you play a **** character that will never be a real threat at any level". If he tries to make some retort like "Well you just suck/need to get good/are used to Project M too much/etc," tell him that YOU could say the same thing about him when he was ******** about project m in the exact same manner.

Seriously, meet contempt with contempt. If nobody else in your crew will do it you might as well. If you show him his complaints don't have a leg to stand on, he'll back down. Even if he refuses to play melee (so he can ***** about PM) loudly and conclusively draw parallels to stupid **** in melee every time he complains about stupid **** in Project M, ending in something to the effect of "It's not Project M's fault you're not used to it like you are Melee's dumb ****, just get better."
