Ahhhh, I didn't know Metal Cavern was a 64 stage, since I haven't played 64. I thought it was an original like Skyloft. Then, indeed, the lack of detail makes sense and I won't dislike it for that now. :p
They could do a Make-over to make Melee/Brawl'ish, some guy(s) did that for the Hyrule Castle 64: though I can't say I like the new one "more".

Termina had a lot of problems beyond the water (from a competitive standpoint). The turtle was slippery and moved around a lot. The ledge created by the upper and lower decks created a lot of bs kills. The ledge on the other side was similar. Finally, tingle was a platform version of the balloon on Smashville. That wasn't so bad, but it's relevant. Anyway, Clock Town is the coolest, and I think most stage hackers could do an excellent job with it.

I'm trying to main Wario and yeah nothing's really wrong with him. Still, I AM curious why you guys took out that crouch you could do in the middle of the Shoulder Bash.
It was too good. Depending on when it hit the crouch "attack" was up to +12 on shield, which is almost a joke in how safe it is. To make things worse, Wario would end up on the other side so that lessened what all you could do as a response. You mi.ght be thinking "Well, why not take away the hitbox?" Which brings up the second problem, it gave Wario TOO MANY OPTIONS. Now think about it, when Wario does a shoulder bash he could:

A)Charge at you with a hitbox that gets stronger over time
B)Jump into the air to hit you with a powerful, moving hitbox
C)Do a Grab, which is of course unblockable

Crouching gave him the choice of not committing to any of those, and instead brought him low to the ground, of course CCing any attacks that WOULD hit him should he not just duck under them, and on top of all that it means he wouldn't have to suffer what most characters go through when they whiff a grab/hit a shield with an unsafe move. To be honest, I've always messed with Wario since 2.5, and I don't think he feels any different or worse, he's still stupid good and has always been the same, fun character.

As much as I love Great Bay, I'd be extremely disappointed if they took out Pirate Ship for Great Bay. Pirate Ship is one of my favourite casual stages in any Smash Bros game.

But yes, there is a desperate need for Pokefloats over Saffron City. If its even feasible.

Also on the subject of Skyloft one last time...Draculas Castle is pretty much the only "Row 3" Stage (barring Distant Planet which is legal in doubles) that actively saw use. Since being shoved to row 3, it hasn't seen as much use in larger tournaments. I'm not sure if this was a conscious decision by the PMBR to balance out the different sized stages, but I haven't seen that stage used competitively in a long time. Or it might be very well possible that people don't like the prospect of having another Dreamland to ban.

The thing about termina bay is it has water. Personally I think something Clock Town related would be a better majora's mask representative than termina was.
I agree: if they make a competitively viable Majora's Mask level I'm all for it! =D
That's a great idea, actually. Is there like a potentially new stages discussion thread?

I just mentioned Great Bay because the stage's fun (though I agree: not competitively viable) and because nostalgia.

Pokefloats is the one true stage. All other stages just wish they could be Pokefloats, but they aren't, because there's only room for one. There's only one true king, and that king is Pokefloats.

Knowing Sakurai he will probably make every stage in smash 4 hazardous like poke floats.
He'll replace the random Wobbuffet that pops up in the corner of the screen with his cat.

be better :denzel:
This right here has got to be the greatest piece of advice I've ever been given. With this essential and informative info, I'll reach greater heights as a Luigi player. If this was never said, I don't even know how I'd ever be able to improve. This little bit of advice will certainly help me in the long run. Plum I salute you good sir!

Just saw the notice from the FB page, Congrats on getting that Twitch support! Really cool of them to do. This game truly is the worthy successor to SSBM.

Out of curiosity, why is Project M the only Smash game to get fancy links at the bottom of Smashboards?

ACTUALLY YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE SO TIGHT
if the links at the bottom of the page changed depending on what part of the forum you were on
so like you could have a group of links that would be there when you are on the home page or front page of the forums
and then you would go into the Project M section and it would link you to the Project M site, downloads, Project M twitter/facebook/subreddit whatever
and if you went to the Melee page it could link to big melee groups outside of smashboards like the Melee it on Me page, the thread that has twitters of prominent members of the community, etc.
so basically Smashboards helps people explore the community beyond Smashboards

in a similar vein to that, I think it would be pretty neat to do community member spotlights on the front page
so like, say you want to highlight a guy like Wobbles and his amaaaazing blog http://www.compete-complete.com/ (seriously go and read his stuff)
or you do up and coming TO's, or community leaders... stuff like that

warchamp pls

I literally read this as you had a friend, named Circle, who called them weebs. Then I saw "relationship", "Rentangle" and "Square" and thought those were the names of your other friends.

I need some rest.

For that brief period of time that I wasn't, I wept truly.
