I'm more wondering why Distant Planet is not legal in singles. Is it that much bigger than Lylat Cruise or Skyloft ? There is no central platform, and everything is generally low to the ground, so that should stop a lot of the runaway shenanigans. The blast zones are also normally positionned, perhaps a little closer than most but it's not out of place at all. What is it that I'm not seeing about this stage ?

A bit late, sorry.

It's not 100% lag free in normal circumstances, it's just as close as we're ever going to get. There isn't clear, "I pressed the button a quarter of a second ago" input lag like there is on Wi-Fi, but I do find powershielding to be more difficult over netplay. Other than that, it's super smooth as long as your ping is under 100.

It's cool, and welp sounds like I won't bother, I can't handle any bit of lag or small differences between gameplay experiences, I used to play P:M on a CRT HDTV that had 1 frame of lag, and when I switched to a CRT that had none, it took my 5 months to get used to that one frame of difference, that's not even an exaggeration, I was messing up L cancels, jumping out of shines and even just inputting a run after a SHFLL all over the place lol
