Finished another project to share. This time its Every characters' F-Roll distance lined up with hurtboxes. Green lines are where a character's hurtbox is starting. Yellow lines are how far the character leans in during the vulnerable frames before roll starts (which most characters didn't need), Red lines are where the closest hurtbox is on the first frame of vulnerability, White lines are where the Roll ends, marked by the same hurtbox as Green.

not sure if this needs is own thread though. yes/no? maybe when I finish back rolls. and non-tech rolls

I do this in hopes that DT will seriously look at rolls again and decide whether some of the characters in tier 3 really have an acceptable roll.

remember that all rolls have already been standardized, They all start on frame 4 with 1-2 exceptions and they all have invincibility from 4-19. all rolls end on 40.

2 things to really note is that Bowser actually starts reversing momentum after his invincibility ends, thus the reason his white line is closer than his red line, and #2 is that if I went by true brawlbox hurtbox's for zard, his redline would be before his green line. making him the only character with a couple frames where the roll would have a "negative"value.

all pictures are taken with camera lock. so you can actually compare distances on larger scales

It might merit a thread, but whether or not it does, I really like all of these little projects you're doing. These are great.

Also, yeah, I think rolls are a pretty odd thing right now. Were they normalized along side spot dodges a little at least? It is a bit strange that Falco has one of the absolute best rolls in the game despite being an offensive juggernaut. I guess his fragility in other ways is what makes up for it, though.

I decided to start writing a G&W guide because somehow there isn't one already (there is but it's old and outdated and pretty incomplete), even though I'm a scrub.

Also why the **** am I writing this I don't have time for this I have midterms.

Recently found out Pigs are on the level of Dogs in terms of intelligence.

Not really sure if I feel comfortable eating them anymore honestly.

I apologize to anyone whom I may have ruined bacon for.
I doubt they're as smart as a dog when they're slapped on the grill

I can't see these.. I keep getting some weird "Leaving Facebook/Something went Wrong" tab, and following the link afterwards just tells me imgur is over capacity ._.
I got the weird Facebook thing too, but following the link worked for me after that screen.

Helsong Helsong you were playing around with GnW a while back, yeah? Are you still maining him or what, maybe you could help look over my guide before I see if I can get any pros to also tell me what's wrong with it.

I was messing around with him, but decided to just keep him around as a fun pocket. I got caught off-guard with how much better I was with GnW than I was with Ike...for some reason. Don't want to say he had an easy-mode punish game, but...man, I dunno. Stopped focusing on him after that. I'm not equipped to judge a guide anyway, I'm a barely mediocre player.

Since some of you are inevitably going to post Undertale Halloween costume pics, question is who will pull off the best non-Sans and Papyrus costume.

Step it up guys, ball's in your court.

GnW has super free punishes at low to mid level play because you need to SDI to really get out.

And I mean, I'm not really qualified either. I've placed well at a few locals but that's pretty much it. It's mostly a matter of compiling all the information that's all floating around right now into a single condensed place.

My Halloween costume is likely just going to consist of me wearing Sans' clothes.
It's brilliant, the level of uncreative laziness that comes from this idea rivals that of Ness cosplayers.

I want to go as Muffet for Halloween, but I don't have time to make a costume this year, which is a shame. I'll probably skip out on Halloween entirely. Drinking alone/with a few friends sounds like a good idea this year. Less stressful, gives me a break from work/school/students/everything.

if that's all you're gonna do I recommend holding off because @Shockbound is creating one that is slated to be pretty comprehensive considering how thorough his testing is..

Unless you wanna create something along the lines of a beginner's guide, if that's the case then go for it I guess

Oh, I wasn't aware that he was writing a guide! That's great to hear.

Hey @Shockbound, can you add me to that Skype group? I hate Skype groups, but I'll put up with it if I can help with this effort. I'm kyle.lueptow on there.

Well, the UWEC team for The Melee Games rides entirely on whether or not my friend can drive my brother and I. We won't know if he can until the 1st. Anyone driving through Eau Claire on the 6th and willing to take us to Lacrosse and Platteville? :(
