there are appropriate and inappropriate times to taunt and if they aren't immediately obvious to you, you probably need to go outside more often

i don't think people get quite butthurt over things like this, Bleck. if they do, well, I think they need to reevaluate themselves before jumping the shark over a video game (even one with stakes involved)

Like if I'm playing a good friend in bracket and I sd and he laughs and taunts I'll think it's funny. If it's someone I've never met before, we're both in serious mode, I sd at 0 and he taunts, yeah I'll be ****ing pissed.

it's ok to be a little salty about it, particularly when it's spiteful. nobody's immune to that I don't think. hell I bristle at the cocky taunts sometimes.

I just don't feel any impetus to say "that's rude!" because it ain't like the guy pissed in my cereal. he besmirched my...pride? ego? skill? whatever intangible thing it is I play games with. it'd be ANOTHER thing if he dissed me audibly or something of that nature, or an obviously personal attack, but it's a game and I'm competing. It's part and parcel, the egocentric nature; rather not let it undermine me.

Halo 5 spoilers I guess

So I signed up for that internship interview I posted about before... apparently you signed up and they selected 11 people to do an interview for it, so it wasn't guaranteed like I thought. But that doesn't matter too much because I made a cover letter anyway. What does matter though is that selections were supposed to have been done last Thursday. The interviews were scheduled for tommorow and I have no idea if I got in or not... there's a page on the site that has a schedule for when each person goes for the interview but it's completely empty, I can't tell if they ****ed up or if I can't see anything because I didn't make it in... sucks. Might apply again on their own website instead of through the campus job board website.

Speaking of Halo 5, watched every cutscene (cause no XBone), don't know how I feel about it. I like that 343i is fleshing out the characters/world and bringing in stuff from the expanded universe, but everything still feels sorta off, like in Halo 4. That, and I can't say I'm too fond of Locke, he just comes off as boring to me. Why couldn't we just play as Buck? He's actually cool.

Contrary to popular opinion, I like that Cortana is the antagonist. I feel like it could've been done differently; she comes off as too villainy when I think a misunderstood would do better.

Oh, and screw cliffhangers. It's Halo 2 all over again.
