Well, determining from the other costume changes such as Samus to Fusion suit and Diddy to a transvesite wearing his girlfriends clothing (But not having her hair)...
I'd say they could have changed more of fox to make him wold than giving him different clothing...

Those three are really the only ones confirmed. Dark Link I guess would be something, and Bowser's got a golden alt suit made of gold apperently. (Wouldn't it be cool if that was actually Rawk Hawk?)

Sadly every other list that has Simon near the bottom or at the bottom does not state any reasons why he is at the bottom, or states really really stupid reasons. IMO Simon has the second best chance after Mega Man. I do believe that both should be in tho.
As for the Ridley + King DeDeDe argument...both should be in as PCs!!! I have a strong admiration of both, and they would totally rock as playable.

There seems to be tons of nifty info coming out of E4All demos, like Fusion-suit Samus, Dark Link (which we already knew...) and a Dixie Kong outfit for Diddy (where's your dignity, man?) and, naturally, the Ike outfit where he sports Marth's colours. How about that...
By the way, Captain Falcon Master's Chibi profile and moveset now have a new home in my runnersup list. You all should learn from his example by PMing me your own character profiles and movesets.

It was in the Krystal thread as well. Supposedly it's not "exactly" like Wolf, but according to the E4All accounts, Fox's fur changes to that (similar) to Wolfs. I wouldn't call it a complete deconfirmation, but calling it a semi-decon is kinda putting it lightly.
Does anyone know (since it seems like brawl is going to include actual alt costumes rather than just color changes) does that mean that Samus gets a Dark Samus makeover?

Well, I suspect he was just ASSUMING that he's in the game. From the way he was speaking, I doubt that he's even played the game.
Meta Knight also has a kickass Dark Meta Knight recolor (who by the way is an actual Kirby franchise character).

Pikachu has Pichu's aviator goggles as a costume. I thought I saw that in an ign video, but can't find it.
For me that's as good as a deconfirmation.
I'm skeptical about some of these E4All reports. I watched the video that supposedly had a Wolf alt-costume, but it was really impossible to tell for sure, and the character art didn't change. I don't doubt them at all, but I'd like to see proof.
Especially of the Ike costume with Marth's colors.

Only one I've managed to find in those was the Fox/Wolf one (Delfino Plaza's video of the 18th, I believe), and even its pretty indistinct due to the distance of the camera's zoom and the pace of the battle. I may even be wrong, since the icon at the bottom of the screen seems to lack the change, while Yoshi's clearly displays his.

Guys Smash is supposed to be played however the **** you want. If tourney goers want to play seriously without any random exploding crates or a Pokeball with legendary spawning next to a player on the last stock. THEN THEY CAN!!
If you want to play with all items on high while all of your play as low teir characters on Big Blue. THEN YOU CAN!!
