I like some of the "new" music. Some of the updates are pretty awesome as well.

The music for Leaders and Champions of other regions made me feel really nostalgic...

Just saw this new item on Serebii, definitely fanservice:

Shining Charm - A mysterious shining charm that when held, makes it easier to encounter shiny Pokemon.

This made me so happy :D

I've put a lot of time in Black and still haven't found one in it, so this gave me more hope

I like that. But by how much? It's already an impossibly low chance

My god. That's too cool.

Beat the second gym leader, after much hassle.
Also fought Neo Team Plasma for the first time. I love their battle theme.

I feel the same way <3. Their theme is so good.

We're actually at the exact same place almost o-o'. I just
beat the grunts in the tunnels under the 3rd gym city.
Currently grinding in said place for the 3rd gym :3.

I couldn't find good places to grind for the 2nd gym (besides the patch of grass at the bottom of the cliff. They still didn't give me good EXP), so I just went with what I had.

There is actually an area below the second gym that has grass. Elekid/Magby, Growlithe, Patrat, etc

I only grinded to level 19 for the gym all around, though XD.

Is it just me or did they change details about some trainers' Pokemon?

For example:
Some of N's Pokemon that you get can have different abilities from when you battled them in BW1. Also, I've seen videos of the trainer battling in the World Tournament and Red's Lapras and Blue's Alakazam are now female when they used to be male...

Another continuity thing but
why is Red's hair black when it should be brown?

Have to disagree with you, Viper. Walkthroughs aren't about the plot, and pretty much everything else that's important can pretty much be put into a walkthrough/lets play in any language, since we all know Pokemon so well. Just where items are, fights, gift pokemon, wild pokemon locations, etc.

Those are odd changes, Mewtwomaster xD. Very odd... Not sure why they put those in there. Although I don't really mind the hair color change too much XD.

Yes, I did go into Black and White blind because I didn't want to know anything, but that's just silly, and how would you know? unless you can read japanesse, you're not going to know what you're suppose to do on your own without any guides that have been written up.

It's pretty simple. It's Pokemon lol. You may get stuck every now and again, but it's Pokemon lol.

I know because I beat White in Japanese before it came out in the US lol. I can't read it of course, but it's pretty straight forward. I'm also playing White 2 in Japanese, and in most cases there are NPC's literally leading you to every place you need to go to. Everything else can be solved by simple exploring lol. You won't know exactly where items/gift pokemon are, but in english it'd be the same case, since you have to go out of your way to look for those, so yeah.

I beat gold version in Japanese first

I don't know how, since I couldn't read the moves. I kind of more or less guessed which moves to keep and what not to keep based on their animations

Actually, I kind of liked it now that I think about it

Edit You mentioned that OTHER charm, but not this one?

A mysterious unbelievable charm that when held, makes it easier for the Daycare Man to find eggs.

Now that one is useful

Personally, I find it odd that they keep doing all these things to make it easy to get shinies. First they do a handful of events giving away a shiny, and now they have a charm to increase the chances. I've only ever found two random shinies myself, and yeah it's a bit annoying, but I thought that the absolute rarity of shinies was half the point. Not that this makes it EASY to find them, but it's a lot easier, relatively, and if they're going to start messing with the rarity of them it removes their luster for me.

I dunno

Like 1 in 2000 is still sort of rare

1 in 1000 in eggs with Masuda method is still rare too

Yeah, I know. As I said, it doesn't make it easy to find them. I just find it odd that they're messing with the encounter rate.

Firus, think about how you get it though.

Seeing all 649 Pokemon (not sure if including events)...

I think it's pretty obvious why they did it if that's the only way you can get the item.

Plus, unless you're hacking (which was a problem with shinies in the first place), then you're really not losing the rarity factor at all. I mean...
How many people are going to see all 649 Pokemon?
