I think that this would be beneficial (I know I'll probably end up using it a few times) for the forums. Just a suggestion, though, why not make a usergroup for official contributers to Academia Prime (if you guys are still going to call it that), despite us already have a usergroup count that must be somewhere in the thousands by now? It wouldn't be particularly needed, it would just be nice to have people who are good contributers to AP marked so that other people know they're trustworthy. Having these people marked would be better than having a cluster-**** of anonymous posters.

Yeah, it was tried a looong way back, so it may succeed now, you never know. I just wonder if it's wise to split this room, considering it doesn't get near as much traffic as it used to.

EDIT: Just saw that it got terminated in 2003.

However, smashboards has gotten a lot more active since then.

Still, if a room like this were to be made I wouldn't mind. It's just the pool room is going to get less active and I still think the new room would be just as or even more inactive. That's my only real problem with the room getting created.

If there was a college-related one, then it could "ensure" intelligent conversation. I mean, it's a good way to separate conversations between 22 year olds and 15 year olds...and I think there should be those separations sometimes.

I think now that the forum has grown to the size it is now, bringing back the Academia Prime room wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

As long as Altf4Warrior and GoldShadow are active enough to answer all the questions.

a lot of times though, it has to do with maturity, not intelligence.

and college students (who are older) are more likely to be more mature than high school students.
