'Playing to learn' somehow did not turn out as the sh*t as I expected. Tourney vids.

Here's the rundown. I am tired of zoning and boring myself to death. It has only been like what, 6-7 months and yet I already feel as if I've played this **** for seven years. So I am experimenting with a new, slightly more stupid playstyle. I've given up perfect spacing inherited by zoning for a combination of zoning, then finding an opening and continue to exploit it face on.

Against the best of my state, aggro works better. I can still zone (still like a ghey mind you), but I will only do it when necessary now. =/

/scrub talk

f*ck this crap, just rate these videos. At time of writing, I only have two, but I have like 465131651 recorded. Also, I have no idea how to fight Melee Marth Lucario.

mute the desync sound plz. LEARN TO READ N00BS.

Viet you're making constant improvement

Your spacing for the most part is superb.

Now that you aren't as passive as before you are limiting your opponent to what he can do against you because he doesn't have as much space to move around.

I didn't really see anything that i said to myself "wtf don't do that" or "that was ********". The beginning of the first match you got a little up air happy though, which isn't good when your opponent is right in front of you because your sword isn't as far out in front of you so your opponent is safer and can probably poke you with one of his tilts. You learned though and went back to fair, and honestly I was surprised at how many of the fairs you tippered. You got hit by some stuff that you probably shouldn't have, but you said you weren't used to the lucario match up and he does have deceiving range.

Not much i can say, good **** imo.

Just a note to everyone:

You can be aggro and be safe. In fact I feel it is more effective.

By the description you made it seem as though you were just gonna go all out on the offensive. You still played defensive and smart, the only difference was that you took a bit more chances, which can be good or bad.

I liked it

I was really thinking about this the other day, too. I'm sick of playing uber defensive, and these vids really helped. I also liked those uair tricks XD

Good stuff, I'll try to incorporate some of this in my game and I must say, you're a very good Marth

Good ****, WHERE'S MY VIDEO!?

Anyways, you need Lucario exp?
fight me :)
I'm uploading a few every night and I should finish soon. I have the match against PB&J's DK, but at that point, this was probably on his mind:

- SHL w/ Falco
- Wobbling (ICs)
- SHDL (Fox)
- Ken Combo (Marth)
- SleepyK's Ken Combo with teh suicides (Roy)

Plus I was fullhopping a lot for some weird reason. My bitter memories of being nailed by DKs made me press meh buttons too hard. xD

But rest assured, almost everything will be uploaded. *including your Lucario whacking poor TL in the face with Aura*

Also, Usmash stage spike was amazing...I'm never doing that crap again. xD

what happened with the aura sphere @ like 2:13 in the 2nd match?
It was 'reflected', but lost its hitbox and speed.

Projectiles can still be reflected by powershielding, but only certain ones such as Pit's arrows, maybe a few more, and usually is...seemingly random.

Sigh...we should look into that you know?

I believe the "reflection" has something to do with angling your shield and causing a glitch.

Also, Viet, when did you get so sexy? I demand more now. Creativity flowed from your sword, and while it's not my style, it's a sexy style. I saw a little NEO right there tbh.

All I can say is its not my style. I'm not saying its bad. Don't get me wrong their. I mean if it works for ya ok go for it. It seemed to me it did but as people said before just remember when to play defensively. It's good for mindgames when you switch between offensive and defensive techniques a good amount of the match. Makes the opponent wonder. I know also you where sick and tired of playing defensive but remember, slow and steady wins the race.

The spacing you have is also good. Spacing = stage control. Cutting down the opponents space to roam or attack is one of Marth's golden traits. I'm sure this all sounds familiar to you cut it's also good to hear it again.

For short, easy, and to the point this is what I think would help you're Marth.

Mindgames + defensive + spacing + stage control = 1 Win...or countless wins ^_^

Awesome Marth sir. I play aggressive like you most of the time, but you have obviously perfected this style. You had amazing spacing and whenever I thought, "he hasn't done much of this yet," you did just that. Keep it up man, it seems like you're getting really good.

still good, ... its an improvement... your finally pressuring your opponents rather than waiting for them to get back on their feet and such...

lol aggressive?
Still entertaining matches. Spacing is still alright =b
The ROB match was really lame because I sincerely had no idea I only used DB once in that match...sad.

DK was just tense due to my bitter memories of being Sakurai combo'd. ._.

No johns though, I need to play this game more often. I play Melee more now, lol.
