To those who asked, 999 is FLAWLESS.

It's like an orgasmic textual investigation scene from Phoenix Wright, except significantly less annoying.

Like, literally 10/10. I'm not completely finished it yet, but it is easily one of the best games on the DS, right up there with TWEWY for me.

I played 999 when the demo first came out. I wanted to buy it since I heard it was the same guy that did the PC visual novel, Ever 17.
Now that I have money, I should try and go pick it up.

Yeah, just reading the premise of this game made me think of Saw.

Polt, I like Layton as a character, but his games are more meh for me. With that being said, I enjoy the Phoenix Wright series for the things it brings to the table. I see the cross over being a fun experience.

Nope. All the other games at voice acting in their trailers.

I don't like Gumshoe's Japanese voice though in the trailers. lol
It's just not how I imagine it. The other ones fit though.

I bit the bullet. Not as bad as I was expecting, and it didn't supplant the voice I had for him in my head.

To me, he always sounded like a cross between Carl from the Simpsons, and Yagami Soichiro from Death Note. xD

I just now beat 999 and got a really, REALLY bad ending. I'm gonna try to get the other endings but I'm not going to play the game through night again. The game is that disturbing and scary, and the literature makes it so graphic and detailed. I need a hug.
