Phantom pwnt Dantarion (New Custom SSS + Custom Stage ID Engine Thingy)

Uh, I did that. But I don't even know which code you're referring to. There are so many in this thread. Are the STGCUSTOM files actually stages?

I have the latest Brawl+ build. I don't understand why in my stages/melee folder I have DXSHRINE.pac — I want to be able to just add in .pacs like textures. :( I'm so so so confused.

Okay so I'm using the 2 codes Eldiran quoted up above and still nothing. Although I do have this really strange stage now with no horizontal kill boundaries. It looks like the Wifi room, but it's not. It's just this really long strip of blue. The camera is all zoomed in too. Wtf?

You don't need to codes I posted if you just want to replace stages like you would normal textures -- in fact, with B+, you should already be able to do that.

I've been experiencing some freezing everytime the game is told to load the results screen with the alternate stage loader.

I have 5 FD textures named "STGFINAL_A.pac" through "STGFINAL_E.pac". Using training mode (the only way the game won't freeze) *I sucessfully loaded all the textures through botton inputs.

Does anyone know what is causing the freezing and how I can stop it?

*Also, one of the textures called "shadow destination" is giving me a hard time. The first time I loaded it, it looked fine (background and stage loaded), however my custom texture became cell shaded. The second time I loaded it, the backgroubd loaded, but the stage and the characters were all dark (and still cell shaded). The stage also appeared to be the default FD.

Halp me anyone?

Aren't most SSE stages based off the Wifi, though? How can I get more than one Final / Battlefield / Wifi SSE stage with just placing in .pacs?

I had the same problem, I had to put a line of stage data for each stage I wanted to load without freezing. Summit and Flatzone are still crashing for me though =\

Exactly! See if that works for you before adding more stages.

If you want more than one stage, I recommend PW's extra stages deal, which allows you up to 9 extra separate Wifi Training stages. Just follow the directions on this post:

This thread is lost to me. Its a thread for two different stage loading codes, with no one specifying what they mean, and no one being able to do hex math.

You need the codes from the first page and you have to tailor the data too. Luckily, it's not that hard.

So its me again :D. I just wanted to comment my experience and express my gratitude to Dan and everyone else in this thread. I asked for a noob guide a few pages back, but it was because I have never introduced my own codes, nor create one fora any game. But I guess we all have to learn a little right? :p. So I decided to read every single post from the first page to the end of the thread and finally understood how things work with Dan´s code (I will now try PW code and see how thinks work).

So, my first troubles:
- Never, Ever used a code creator.
- Never learned from Hex
- Never wrote a code.

What did I do?:
- Read the entire thread :p
- Get an Hex Calculator on the web.
- Downloaded all the last programs, except for GeckOs. Im currently using 1.9.2

So I first tried getting that sandbag out with the code, and creting a new .gct file with code manager from PC, then I got that 256 Error! and decided to continue. What I didnt know was that ysing Code Manager randomly erased some of my previous code in order ( I suppose, since I dont know really how it works) to keep the 256 lines. How did I find it?, because CSS didnt had ZSS nor Sheik or the others. So I decided to compare both .gct files (My Previous Brawl Plus 5.0 Not screwed and the New with No Sandbag ), the result was a series of white spaces in HEx editor for both files. (I comment this since it could be useful for someone.. I think).

Then I read in this thread about using Cheat Manager, found it, test it, created the .gct with all the files activated, and the .gct result was perfect. Compared to the "virgin brawl+" the only difference was the sanbag. :D! With this resolved, on to Dan´s code.

So I tried with 2 Textures for FD and Battlefield and 4 SSE for Online = Rumble Falls. all of them will be loaded bu both Button Combination and Randomly. Plus Added a "Z" texture (26= 1A in Hex), Im goinf right, am I? to load the original FD and Battlefield.

The results are a big success :D !!! , Though the only think I have doubts with is that if I have to hold the Button Activator from the GC controller to load a texture, for example "Start" "X" , "Y" or "Up (Pad) + Start" from my code, or press it continously. I wonder this because sometimes, when I hold down the button I dont get the desired Texture, but sometimes I do.

Maybe its about the timing ?, so I was wondering when exactly do I have to press/hold the buttons?, I have read its when its Loading the Stage and after selecting it, but though sometimes It feels random, I was wondering if there is a specific timing? :?

Anyway, I wanted to share all of this and hope dont bother anyone :(, I beleive that when someone creates something like this, Its also good to hear from succes, right? :)

Dant and everyone else keep up the good work and thxs for all your posts, you have made a noob like me, understand a bit of all this incredible things you do :)

Now to try PW code and come back with feedback :D (ups maybe later since its 04:40 a.m. and I beleive its time to rest a little :p)

So I try to take Dantarion's code out for a spin, but I ended up with more than half of the stage icons in both the brawl stage section and melee section replaced with battlefield and some others with stages/icons that make no sense

@ Jocky. You've definitely got the stage loader data code wrong.

You see the code 662000XX

You input 24 which is the equivalent of 36 in ASCII. In fact, you have 122 lines of stage data so the correct value should be 7B (122 + 1)

That fixes one of the problems. Hopefully you've got your button activators working correctly or else you're in for a nasty bit of work re-doing them all. I'm not great with custom SSS or CSS, but if in doubt, just stick to the pre-made ones. Phantom Wings had 9 extra stages with his code and that's more than enough. Custom CSS is a bit more tricky. You might need supporting codes in order for it to work. You definitely should go on the custom CSS thread and take a complete one from there if you're not comfortable making your own.

Now all we have to do is wait for use in replays,

I found that I had to put a line of stage code for each stage I wanted to load, regardless of whether or not I had textures for them.

Speaking of which, I'm still having problems loading Summit and Flatzone, anyone else unable to load them with Dantarion's Alternate Stage Loader? I've posted my changes to the code numerous times throughout the thread and I've looked it over like crazy so I don't think it's the problem, I just want to know if anyone else can load them with it.

I tried this and gecko would freeze every time I tried to load the codes.

It would be great if you could post the code that you use and put the lines that you have textures for in bold. I'll just put mine in their place.

Okay, seriously, guys. No offense, but this code comes with like the most thorough example I've ever seen. Look, just use these two codes:





And download this .zip file:



Put the .pacs in pf/stage/melee and put the .rels in pf/module. Ignore the .wgc.

If you want to use one of your own STGONLINETRAINING.pacs, just replace one of the sample files.

well, until now I made a good use of Dan and PW´s codes :) and I have to say I expecte they could take them to further ways :D. So I came back with some doubts.

1. The only problem (bug) I got was at the time of entering one of PW new Stages as PKMN Trainer. Since there is no place for the PKMN trainer to be standed, the pokemon just flies and you cant move :S like this:



Any way we could fix this?.

2. Also I have noticed that they are all based on Battlefield, thus the music that is played is loaded from data on this stage. Is there a way to make them load another stage´s music?.

3. And finally, is there any way we can change the Images from this new stages on the Stage Select Screen?.
