Its nice that everyone wants to have brawl MMs at this MELEE tournament but whatever. Just so you guys know we're booking the room and finalising the date this Wednesday (two days time). The date may well change so don't complain. There will also not be loads of brawl setups but we'll see what we can do.

Well I dont really want to travel on my own for 4+ hours, so maybe if you ok with it I crash at Bolton with you then we head up on the friday?

You can help me perfect my l33t Ganondorf.

People who need housing desperately are welcome to stay with me, Southampton isn't far from Brighton. Just post quick if you need it cos I have very limited space xD

right, essentiall is this a one day event with housing if we want it or a 2 day event????
Yes this is most likely going to be a one day event with housing. Similar to GGT2 where we hopefully have the room throughout the night. If this isn't possible the plan may have to change. The fact that there is housing should not, we should be able to house anyone who wants to be housed.

Btw Brighton is around an hour and 3/4 drive from Southampton so its actually about as far as London is. Hate to burst your bubble VA but google maps says London to Southampton takes two minutes less than Brighton to Southampton.

J03- inexperienced?? I have helped run two tournaments in the past and Inert has organised events before. I hope you're not planning on flaking because you think it won't be any good cos I can assure you it will be and I'll be mad disappointed if you do.

Its a fair comment though. I've only been in the community for 2 months and I've only been to one tournament so far. Even if I've organised other stuff they aren't the same as this. But if it helps Joe I'll be spending a lot of time sorting stuff out beforehand to make this a memorable tournament for all the right reasons, so that when we host another one everybody will want to come.

Go with the last point in your post :) We need more of your banterous commentary as well.

Yeah the road is pretty bad but getting in or out of Brighton by car is a nightmare. That place is just insane, it takes me longer to do the last 3 miles than to do the first 50.

Naw my point was that most tournaments dont run until silly time in the morning like GGT2. GGT2 was like 12 -> 8am the next day. This was because there was no option of housing. If you guys are able to house then you should run doubles/singles and what not with normal tournament hours then allow people to go to where their being housed. This way they have the option of going to sleep, socialising or smashing.

I really dont want to go to a tournament where im restricted massively in when i can gain access to housing or having to just play smash alot lol. Dont say i can socialise in the venue it rarely happens to the degree it happens outside of smash. Enjoying the tournament and the socialising is a ok in my eyes. Just think about bbq at tki. This isnt a dig against you guys providing housing its great to hear another crew able to run tournaments. Just throwing my tournament philosophy out there ; )

Also, i think if your wanting to run a successful tournament the host always has to inconvenience themselves over their guests. Ive done that every tourney ive ran. Hence why hosting can be a pain in the rear!!!

Don't know if i can make it to this one, i know ts sound like a really **** reason, but i'm not all for travelling 5 hours on the train on my own.

If i can get someone else from CongoLand to come, i will, otherwise, i doubt i will.

TBH if this is going to be in a months time then I'm probably not coming because this isn't enough notice for me to get train fare a lot cheaper.

I think it's more likely that there will be housing available so people can do what they want.

Well if I can then I will go if it still being held in March.
If they change the date and I can't get a lift then there is a good chance the train fares will be cheaper so I could go that way.
