im interested but it depends a lot on the date and my financial situation at the time. As long as I don't end up with an exam or essay due then time wise its fine. Financially it should be ok as long as it isnt insanely expensive to travel, if a few scots are going id say there is a decent chance I will.

really rusty tho lol.

I'd be very pleased if you could make it allan. We could team as well if you want.

For Scotts I thought I'd mention that Southampton has an airport so if you want to travel by air or if it's cheap, you have that option available.

thinking about coming...depends on the events (not a fan of the drawn doubles thing), date and cost.
Cost should be minimal, tbh, with the £10 for 3 large pizza crazy *** pizza shop, the £2 return from London to Southampton with greyhound coaches and the free venue lol.

When abouts can we expect a date because if I book now, I can get tickets for like £4 which is pretty **** considering my bull**** location.
Early December sounds sensible, if a bit far, enough time to book and plan, and doesn’t really coincide with London or NW ranbats.
Also, im bored at work so I thought Id just make an interested list for ya as I think it will really help gather interest for this. Probs missed a few out but ohwell

Interested:

I don't think I'll be able to make a date that quickly, it depends on how quickly I can talk to the gaming society so that a room can be booked. There's still plenty of time though so you should still be alright for travel costs.

Calling-

Reacher
Captain Charlie

It'd be awesome if all you guys can make this

i'd consent to using someone aside from weegee if low tiers did happen. probably my y.link, or maybe my grown up link, possibly my kirby, or my bowser... or my GaW,
i always like an excuse to whack out my low tiers.

edit: oh nearly forgot about my pika, my ness, and my m2 :p

hmm i'd like to see this luigi, though i'm afraid you barely saw me scratch the surface with weegee at my fest, i really shine against falco's tbh, but i got lumbered with a link, a jiggs, and charles :/ all johns aside but that was the first time i've had serious games against a jiggs and a link since i started using luigi, why does no one play top tier these days? :(

i lost fair and square dont get me wrong but this is swizzys ganon all over again :p

hehe I know man, dave prefers fox a lot more to falco tho, still god**** powershields everything falco shoots at him tho lol. Dave's luigi is probs quite rusty atm tho, dropped him for peach just b4 lyon, but as luigi, he was best in our crew for a loooong time, hence our crews name i guess. I got a few vids on my channel actually of dave, Tamoo99 if ya wanna check him out, though most of those vids are pre lyon so we were pretty **** back then lols.

i thought luigi was banned in low teirs now? along with big link in a few places i think, cos they're just a bit too good for low teir (but not good enough for mid :dizzy:)

yea well thats just johns isnt it :p

but like i dont play luigi so i can john and say i lost because i play low tier blah blah.. and to be fair link is really hard for luigi, his projectiles are really annoying and you cant safely use uptilt or upsmash or even tornado because of that stupid down air. but i except low tiers in this country and very much secondary if not lower characters for most people. shouldnt really be a prize pot for it anyways so i'd love to bring out a couple of my characters who's worlds just get rocked that bit too hard against the top tiers.

edit: i believe france banned link and luigi from their low tier tourneys, i'm not sure about the rest of europe but i'm pretty sure scandinavia loves that tall green plumber

Whens there going to be a tournament in London?? Seems the only place that makes much sense atm. Almost guarantees a good turnout and people like myself are more likely to go just for the banter of being in London . Ben host phantom hits 2 in london??

I have no idea what's been happening lately but I know Link has been scrubbed off of lower tier tourneys for years in some parts. I'd imagine if people looked into it DK, Luigi and probably Pika would be too, due to fact that they arent low and are competitively viable so defeats the point of having a lower tier tourney.

MY M2 WOULD DESTROY MY GODDDDDDDDDD HES GOT SO MUCH

Ben you little b**ch, you left me off the "would be nice if these people attended" list lol. As it happens I'll be away in India so I'll let you off... otherwise I'd have come to try to knock pro off his pedestal. I'm pretty good against fox these days - got a game off Remen at ZEST4.

I agree with this comment even though I know it will piss off ben.
On average (when A LOAD of londoners still flake) in the monthlies we get like 25 people.
But I predict tournament arrival for melee JUST FROM LONDONERS being something along the lines of 40 people or more.

It makes sense for it to be in London but you know our problem is housing.
Only a few people like TC and Fuzzy can house so how would you lot deal with that?

You wouldn't even get a game off of me.
You make too many simple mistakes which I remember and will just take advantage of the next time I play you lol.

Keep practicing against VA then you can attempt to bring it to me.

Ya this tournament will be in Southampton not London. London may do a UK tourney whenevr it wants but they need to srot out housing lol.

I'll think about low tiers but if I do I will be allowing Luigi and Link

This is a tournament in SOUTHAMPTON lol not London. Why did Zeppo even say do it in London? I don't even live in London, it makes no sense

I could do a melee only tourney, i got like 17-19 t.vs now >_> but then somehow I'd have to squash it all in one day..some Londoners would have to offer housing

I'm not really looking to host a brawl only tourney, no hate brawl scene but I cba

may I just say that what I rly want atm is for my old hangout, the NW to say if they'd be interested as I don't see why not and they were missed at the last tournament.

Joe- you gotta come and so some of these Londoners how it's done!!! (including tamoo of course)

Will- it was nice of you to have me round yours, the least you can do is let me return the favor

Charlie- you're too much of a class act not to come.

Aiko- I'd appreciate it if you came

Alan- remind people how good you are at this game

Blinky- you're improving (and are already quite good) and a national UK tourney will make you improve even more.

Box- just in case you're reading this- will be awesome to see you here and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this

does need a date at some point but i guess as it's probably late november or december then it isnt really too needed as of right now. even in a couple of weeks time the travel should be relatively similar in price. Only problem i see is that by december a lot of students usually have very little money from their loans left. But this disability no longer affects me so i should be fine to come to this.

I heard box was moving to SW, is that still happening?
I also agree with the need for a date.

It's jokes how the next London Monthly and the talk of a potential UK tournament in London has gained WAYYYY more hype then this, please step it up Ben and Co's.

We need info, hype, dates, hype and hype and who is coming is likely to come to this with a bit of hype on the side!!!

Yer, Il def be able to go to this if the London lot let me travel with them lol. But where abouts in Southampton? Ive got a mate at Southampton Uni so I might stay round his place in the halls if its close to there.
and drawn partner seems a bit wierd but makes it a bit fairer in a game.
although in tournaments of all sorts, you are meant to make the best team playing against each other.
What is the expected turnout got this?

Ben, I think you should change the OP to state that drawn partners is not hapening,

Also, put up the interested list i posted a page or so ago, give people a feel of the interest in this tournament
