@cam - well, personally, I think there's a pretty big chance that summer is a huge effect on the turnout... randy and alan know I have some other... priorities... at this time (girlfriend), though I am absolutely not tired of brawl... for me I don't really have the time for non-serious-business brawl. It's unfortunate, but true. I started with the goal of being the best in ottawa, and since i'm pretty close to that (i still won't call myself that until randy/derek stop sandbagging... ever lol) I've set my sights on being one of the best in canada. That's why i play brawl still, and that is what i've set enough time for... work is also really getting in the way for me...

anyways, whatever happens happens, and I'll try my best to get out to any event that piques my interest (moar rock climbing and squash!.. football of the american or european variety is good too) and I definitely am not going anywhere, i'm just considerably less "active" than i used to be

back @ mike B- you should somehow convince niko to get to your place before the tournament so that we can practice teams that night I have now pretty much confirmed a mode of transportation for me (to toronto) so there's a 99% chance i'll make this

I don't know yet. I'll try to drive down, but if that doesn't work out I'll have to bus/train it.

My dad was surprisingly ok with the car stuff, or at least, he didn't show any obvious anger at the time I showed him. I haven't talked to him about it for a week or so, but last I heard he's gotten some estimates. He's been given around $1600 to fix it from the places he's called, but it might increase due to the damage to the trunk. I'm still waiting for the final bill :/

Can you guys check your Brawl cases? I know this may sound strange, but my copy of Brawl is the second one I'm on, I've already burned through my first copy (I assume my brother had something to do with it >_>). Because of that, I bought the extended warranty on this copy of Brawl and I keep the receipt tucked behind the cover packaging.

Well, THIS copy of Brawl died. I went to my case to get the receipt so I could return it for another copy and. . . well, the receipt's not there. So either it fell out some time (I've checked my carrying case, so it'd be at a tourney somewhere ) or we accidentally swapped cases at some point. I'd really appreciate getting my receipt back (The case I'm not worried about ) so I don't have to buy a THIRD copy of the game.

EDIT: Okay . . . my brother had it for some reason.

I still don't know why. So, uh, this post is pretty useless now.

Well, looks like I might be looking to move back to Ottawa end of August. With my grandmother's passing imminent my mom is considering moving to Kingston due to a whole bunch of family drama that I don't care to get into. If she moves to Kingston, I doubt I'd be going with her.

So basically, if she goes through with the move I probably WON'T buy the car I'm thinking of buying, instead using that money as my first/last for rent someplace in Ottawa. However, I'd need to find a place. I'm going to be scouring online listings (however the timing of this will be terrible, school is about to start again ) So if any of you guys see anything that looks affordable, or know anyone who is looking for a roommate or something, could you guys drop a line my way? I'm totally 4 serious about this.

You might already have heard about this, since I'm sure you talk to him more than I do, but I think Bryant and some other people were looking to rent out a house in Ottawa for the next school year. You might want to ask him what's up with those plans and see if you can get in on it. It would be cool to have you back in town

If it's any help though, if your mom decides to move to Kingston, my brother might know of some places down there since he actually has a house down there now that he's going to Queen's (so I can ask him about that). Obviously it would be cool to have you back in the area, and if you need a place to stay while you're looking for a place of your own, you know you're welcome to stay at my place for a bit. Corny and hokey sounding, I know, but just throwing it out there to try and help however's needed. Besides, last time I went to a bi-weekly, some people were acting almost SANE....
