Other possible Sonic characters in Brawl

I could see how Shadow could be simply dismissed as a Sonic clone, should he be the in the game. But as I stated earlier, Shadow could be an original character if Nintendo took the time to look at all of his moves and attacks in the Sonic series.

There are still games like that though. The Genesis Sonic games are a thing of the past. The only thing that comes close is Sonic Rush. The Advance games were decent too, but I wasn't a big fan of Sonic Advance 3.

That reminds me, I should play my copy of Shadow the Hedgehog to see if it's as bad as reported.

Actually, Sonic doesn't have the same abilities as Shadow. The only shared one is Chaos Control.

Which is why I keep saying that since they both are capable of harnessing the power of Chaos, then Sonic might be able to copy and other move Shadow has if he needed too.

It was only slightly darker than his regular look, and it really didn't bear any resemblance to Shadow.

Someone needs to post a screencap of that thing so we can end all these questions about it. .

Finally the shadow supporters are coming out...either alot were scared they might get flamed or wont hear thier opinions heard..but watever the case, Shadow is finally getting the recognition he deserves! Shadow is way cooler cause of his attiude and cause hes more or less a bad guy/villian however u want to see it and brawl needs more!

and still bro theres no way..Sonic will have an alt costume..knowing that most likely ever since the alt colors dojo update..alt costumes are out(hopefully not) but yea as of right now..theres no way they can make Sonic look like Shadow in a alt color.

I doubt Shadow can get past Tails and Knuckles, they have more priority then Shadow.
I still think Shadow is too much alike to Sonic, I'd rather take Tails and Knuckles who are much more original then Shadow.

yay another Shadow fan, im not the only one... but also if you had checked the 1st post i did, you would have seen my idea for a skill list, for now you can ask me any Sonic Character and i'll throw together a skill list of all specials, taunts, stage, theme and alt colors if it helps.

Shadow's is on the 1st post and i'll change the Hand Gun to Chaos Nightmare from sonic battle

I honestly prefer Knuckles over Shadow... heck, I think I even prefer Blaze over Shadow...

Shadow could simply be "covered" as an alt costume, no sweat!

Tails kicks butt in Sonic Battle. And even if he used to follow Sonic around, ever since Adventure 1, he's proven his independance. (He even has a song saying so, how he doesn't follow Sonic around anymore) And that's what I love about the little dude. How he's grown independant (though screw his machinery..)

Knuckles with climbing and gliding, power character makes much sense than another speedy hedgehog and almost exact final smash as Sonic.

I highly doubt Sakurai, not quite being the Post Adventure fan, would pick Shadow over Tails & Knuckles.

Hey, if Shadow is so popular, why isn't he playable in either of the Sonic Advance games, or Sonic Rush, Rush Adventures nor Secret Rings? (Notice how they're all Nintendo Exclusive games).

I am sure Sakurai will go with Tails, been there since the beginning and actually would have an original moveset.
Shadow is just bleh to me, Knuckles is ok but I still think Tails is a better choice.

I agree with HolyNightmare. Tails should deserve the spot because he has the second spot in the series. Hes Sonic's Sidekick and best friend for crying out loud! A lot more non gamers will recognize Tails more than they would with Shadow. And even in the most popular Sonic characters for gamers Tails is 3rd. Plus Tails would fit best in the SEE with Sonic. Tails is the one who follows Sonic, so he'll follow sonic into SSBB.

I would want Tails over Shadow mostly because of how many people nerds and geeks from the 90's have orgams from seeing Sonic & Tails fighting Mario & Luigi. It would just be a dream come true. Sonic can do Chaos Control. He does it in SA2, with a fake emerald no less. Just because he doesn't do it in Brawl, because Sakurai is focusing on classic Sonic apparently, doesn't mean it never happened.

Knuckles would make more sense as a playable for Subspace due to how gulable he is, now actually i can see Shadow and Metal Sonic being bosses in the SSE, Shadow and Metal work for Eggman to fight for subspace, beat Shadow and he leaves to do his own thing and Metal... well is defeated.

yea maybe i am bein a lil biased wen it comes to shadow but hey i have a reason to. Classic or new gen sonic fans shouldnt be compared..also..i played all of sonic's games..except the new gen games like Sonic for 360..and tbh i never played shadow's game either..but u kno what brawl isnt another sonic game..its not tryin to be a "true sonic game" but thats besides the point..Shadow is perfect for brawl ..he can be his own character not a "alt coustume" not a "lugified clone".

Sonic is going to be the only playable character. Tails and Knuckles could possibly be ATs, since MGS has one. If by some insane crazy-*** twist of fate Shadow was playable, he wouldn't use guns. If Snake isn't using guns, then Shadow wouldn't either.

Well sorry i'll explain this:-

If Knuckles is playable, Eggman would trick Knuckles like in Sonic 3 and say that the playable characters are evil and trying to steal the Master Emerald, Knuckles fights you but then has the Master Emerald stolen to help boost the power of the subspace bombs. Then Knuckles joins the game and possibly he would be fighting someone (not sonic) like Mario, Link, Snake, Samus or Ike.

I can not belive how many people are underestiating Tails. With "Oh he only follows Sonic around" BULL****. He's done many things on his own. Tails Adventure, Tails Skypatrol, helped Sonic land on the Egg Carrier in Sonic Adventure, speaking of SA: He also defeated one of Eggman's machines (The orginal Egg Walker), in SA2 he actually was the one who helped Sonic get out of jail (Poor Amy wouldn't have had a chance against that security), and he was basically the brains of the hero team for that games. I think people are also underestimating Tails because of his more recent minor roles. Tails deserves the respect that no one but the longtime Sonic fans give him. It's a fact: Tails is as to Sonic as Luigi is to Mario. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Knuckles has also had his fair share of roles as well , but isn't underestimated. I'd still prefer him over Tails anyday. I'd prefer Espio over Tails too.
