Order you mained characters + Reasons

Well I taught this could be a good idea.

All you gotta do is tell the order you mained characters. From your smash begins to now.
And yeah I speak english like a spanish cow.

K, here's an example (me) :

My order :

Link > Kirby > Mario > Fox > Falcon



I first started with Link because he was my favorite Nintendo character. Back then I couldn't Z cancel, DI or do anything.

Then I got to Kirby, like almost everybody. I realized how noob he is and switched to my 2nd favorite Nintendo char (xD) : Mario.

Then I got to try Fox, I only tried him cause I saw many videos of people using him and they were owning. I became better and better with the times.

Then I fell in love with uber 0 death combos with Craptain Falcon.


Now I main Falcon and Fox. I also use Mario or Link as a 3rd main.

As for me:

I started as mario because I mostly liked Mario games. Then I went to falcon becuase of his easy Uair combos. Then I got bored and started playing as everyone. Eventually my 4 mains are the ones I eventually got good with. And pikachu's just there cuz he's godly.

Fox: When the game came out my friend liked link so I chose fox because he was fast and he had this AMAZING shield thingy that could REFLECT ITEMS!!!1!one. Plus he's Starfox! I mean he's this cute little furry animal that tries to act so big and suave but we all know if we had the chance we would give him a big hug and ruffle his head saying "guuwd littuw pwuppyyy"...and then he would bite us with sharp pointy teeth.

When I was little (when I played SSB64) I had like, a specific order of favorites from first to last.

1.) Link: Despite the fact that he absolutely blew (tier-wise, but his recovery was unbelievably horrible), I was able to do some incredible things in 64 with him. I beat Very Hard with 1 stock, then seriously beat a level 9 Ness, level 9 Jigglypuff, and level 9 Pikachu ALL against me on my own. Basically it was 1 vs. 3 and I won. I couldn't believe how good I was with Link... then Melee came and I suddenly stunk with him :-P

2.) Donkey Kong: I'm not gonna lie, most of my list is based off my personal bias of their past games. But DK was just hardcore, being the only heavyweight besides Samus & Yoshi.

3.) Mario: I loved his balance and recovery.

4.) Samus: I never even knew who Samus was before SSB, truthfully, and had no idea she was a chick 'till I googled her pics... and basically, half porn? Yeah. Anyways, I loved her because she was like Link: projectiles, strong game, hard to approach... and back then, it was just her and DK who had the awesome charged moves.

5.) Fox: Yet again, I had no idea what tiers were or whatnot and I didn't realize that Fox was up on that list. But I don't abide by tiers: then or now, I never did. But Fox was just so cool, man. Right?

6.) Luigi: Despite the fact that his Up-B pissed me off 'cause I never ever mastered it, this clone of Mario was my favorite just 'cause he was a clone. It wasn't until Ganondorf copied Captain Falcon when I thought that clones were stupid/worthless.

7.) Kirby: I loved Kirby since his Superstar game, and I loved how he copied techs and all. Thought I would like to call him one of my favorites, I pretty much can't 'cause he's lower on the list.

8.) Yoshi: Well, I loved Yoshi and seriously thought he was just funny: his taunts, his noises, everything. I especially loved his super duper midair jump.

9.) Captain Falcon: I didn't dislike Capt. Falcon, I just didn't know who he was and I was never able to master his offbeat balance of raw power and speed... I also didn't really know that he was the fastest sprinter, I always thougth that Fox was.

10.) Pikachu: Again, I never disliked Pikachu it's just that at the point of time when I really got into the game, I thought that Pokemon was stupid. Oh, how wrong I was.

11.) Jigglypuff: This is the point where I say I hated the character. Jigglypuff was a fruitcup of a character who doesn't DESERVE to be in SSB. If she wasn't such a veteran today, I'd have to vote to take her out. But it's too late now :-P

12.) Ness: Okay. I HATED NESS. Always. Hated. Him. (not nearly as much now) He was so god**** annoying and good. Facing him with Link was like beating a pillow in anger back then. (No offense to Ness lovers, I don't hate him anymore )

lol, about Ness... If you play him, you love him when hess on the ground and you hate him when hes off the edge, and if you face him, you hate him when hes on the groun and you love him when hes off the edge, as easy as this

My order is very simple.

Mario -> Falcon

I was a casual when I got SSB 64 and my Mario was my favorite video game character so I played as him. Melee came out so I stopped playing it for a long time. Once I learned of competitive Smash, I played SSB 64 again (after I played Melee) and found that Falcon was my main.

Only problem was that I had to play CPUs to determine my main because nobody would play SSB.

Meh I started with link when ssb came out and I rented it from blockbuster the 2nd week it was out (have been addicted since ) since a link to the past was my FAVORITEEEEE game...

then I pretty much played everyone with friends when I found some ppl to play with around age 15 and I didnt know how to cancel yet n sh*t... I mostly used falcon though since even without z cancelling you can do combos with him haha... easy to pick up and play the cap'n

then I switched to melee yada yada, couldnt wavedash or SHFFL so I learned how to cancel in ssb64, which helped my meleez....

I played melee for like 2 years playing online smash on the side mostly playing captain falcon ONLYs and getting better, I most improved in ssb64 when Boomfan stayed at my house for a week.

Recently though I picked up jigglypuff for online smash and I still play falcon, those are my two characters.

Basically if I had an n64 adaptor id pick up more characters to play online since on console im good with a lot of characters, but with my ****ty dpad controller falcon and jigglypuff are the only two characters I can use well

Ill shut up now I type too much. this thread is full of shi*t no one will read or care about.

Jigglypuff - Because I can **** the hell out of everyone with da puff. easy 0 to death combos on everybody in the cast except Jigglypuff and Kirby. And the fact that Jigglypuff is a God and I am merley obeying its orders so Jigglypuff can rule the world.

Pikachu - Said to be the best in the game, has good recovery, but not good as Jigglypuff.

Ness- Dude, Spike, throws, and DJC. Thats enough for me.

Mario - Foxy - Captain Falcon

I first mained Mario because he was my favorite Nintendo character when I was young, I loved to spam his down B, and he pretty much WAS Nintendo to me.

I then mained Foxy because I thought he was really good, and he sounded and looked cool.

Today I main Falcon because I'm really good with him in SSB64. It's also extremely relieving to Falcon Punch somebody successfully.

After destroying some noobs online with Kirby, I though I'd found my character. Later I started playing good people and getting owned, and realized I sucked it was just the characters.

After fooling around in training mode, I really liked the fluidy of luigi's movements.

After watching Isai vids.

5. Pika

AFter watching Isai vids.

6. Jiggs
After playing more melee, I found Jiggs to be probably more similar to melee than fox, except better

4. Everyone except Ness and Yoshi- I can play these chars to their max basic ability and are midly fun
5. Ness- My ness sucks and his recovery is questionable, kinda fun to get DJC combos though
6. Yoshi- Why does Pikas Ftilt own his recovery?
