i feel bad for most of the people in this thread. you watch or read a new episode then have to wait for a new when. i stoped watching around the baroque works arc and this weekend i watched all the way to when luffy beats enel.

Why is Blackbeard sooo goood?
oh and I hate this episode because luffy sandbags against Hannibal.
"Oh, let me turn back to normal. Oh wait, he's not down yet, let me go gear second." I am sure that going gear second would waste your energy.

but anyways, I look at Blackbeard now, and he's god tier.....oh and you know what else?

He can absorb poison and not get hurt! Wtf? he absorb that poison door like is nothing...
so that mean, he could absorb some of Magellan's attacks...minus the poison mist I take.

good episode though, love the will power to protect the prison that Hannibal showed.

then wait untile the next episode

The new chapter is amazing, that one week break was definitely worth the wait. Supernova appearances, Brownbeard taking over Whitebeard territory, and secret government officials who are a higher rank than even Sengoku. Also, the talk about what will happen once Luffy wakes up was extremely interesting. Prepare for more epicness from Oda!

Oh and nice avatar Lvl100, I'm also glad your back to enjoying One Piece.

So as of now, it looks like the only remaining Shichibukai are Mihawk, Doflamingo, Kuma, and possibly Boa. That means three (and maybe 4) more spot have opened up and need to get filled.

At first I thought Kidd might take a spot, but he seems intent on becoming Pirate King just like Luffy is and wouldn't accept it.

Blackbeard has always been imbalanced since his DF power has been introduced. He is probably faking it like a soccer player every time he's been hit by an attack. Otherwise it makes no sense that he'd be genuinely damaged by little balls of fire (Ace's Hidaruma attack) yet be unfazed by a giant sun-like sphere of flame (Entei).

Edit: I have a feeling Buggy will become a Shichibukai-level character in the One Piece world, just for the sake of humor on Oda's part.

Don't think it will be for long though if buggy did join for sure then it will break the thoery of all of shanks crew members not having any devil fruit powers. He will just re-unite buggy with his crew then set off.

I think replacing so many Shichibukai so fast might make the government look bad. They probably have to tolerate Hancock because the general public don't really know what she did and therefore they don't have to replace her, but Jinbei, Blackbeard and Moria are definitely gone.
You remember how much the government didn't like to replace Moria because Crocodile was defeated (and arrested for coup d'état or whatever) so recently? The Shichibukai is gonna look really bad after this (as an organization, not just as individuals), so there might not be much point in replacing them right away.

On the other hand, Ace managed to get recognizable enough to be offered a poisition as Shichibukai within 3 years before the story starts, so maybe they are replaced fairly often
