I really dislike flash back stories that takes more a good amount of time to finish. :/

LOL luffy's a funny little kid.

i'm actually really glad to finally see luffy's background. oda did this for all of the crew already, so i find it really interesting and meaningful to finally see luffy's story

he's always been the same lol. i find it amazing how optimistic he is for always being abandoned, rejected, and hated by people. he claims people as his friends before he even knows them. what a guy

And like as much as I love Luffy, I really want to see how we go on from here. How the Hancock "love sickness" is going to be solved and how the crew is going to meet up again.

very interesting chapter

man this is such great storytelling lol

luffy and ace never had fathers. ace was shunned by everyone and finally found somebody who hates the idea of being alone just as much as he does, but the luffy is outward about it and offers friendship rather than resenting the world or becoming a bully. the innocence of a 7 year old kid getting tortured but still looking out for someone he calls a friend but doesnt even accept him... ahhhh! haha it's great stuff

i have a feeling something really bad is gonna happen to that sabo kid

So technically Luffy has another brother.

I feel most certain we'll see him at some point in the present time line; no way Oda would build up his character to just cast him off. He could possibly join the Strawhats (!) or could help them through his status as a World Noble.

hmmmmm...

But he isn't a World Noble. His father is just a "noble". But there is a World Noble coming, guess we'll find out about that next chapter.

One thing that somebody noticed on another forum was that (probably sometime in the war saga) Luffy said "Ace is my only brother!". Overall that complicates things here now that we know he considered Sabo a brother as well.

What does that have to do with anything?

Luffy obviously considered Sabo a "brother" in this chapter. Luffy would still consider Sabo a 'brother' when he said "Ace is the only brother I have in this world." (I think that's actually the exact quote.), so something has to have happened.
