I'm not talking about that, though. I'm just saying that even though him and Sabo may not be blood related he considers him enough of a 'brother' that him saying "Ace is my only brother in the world!" implies something went really wrong.

And Luffy knows who his father is at least.

Because that character is supposed to come in or towards the end of the series. We can pretty much safely assume that the War saga was the midpoint of the series.

thats just a fan theory though. it doesn't make sense in a pirate genre to not have have anyone with one. i really would how luffy is gonna get back the crew

I don't believe that's just a fan theory, I'm pretty sure that was said by Oda himself...

And it would make sense without one anyway, One Piece's concept of pirates has deviated quite a bit from our definition. Of course a lot of them still look for treasure, but with Luffy's crew it's just about the adventure. (although Nami will always want money, of course.)

I think that Sanji is going to be "rescued" by Ivankov. I actually hope we get to see that, but probably not. =/

I dunno, but the war saga, doesn't seem like the mid point for me. >w>; The way this story is being told, seems like it could last a very long time. There is still so much to see and for the characters to do, but of course he could end it quick too.

One thing that somebody noticed on another forum was that (probably sometime in the war saga) Luffy said "Ace is my only brother!". Overall that complicates things here now that we know he considered Sabo a brother as well.

very interesting point to bring up. this leads me to two thoughts, 1: that sabo does something which leads to luffy and ace no longer considering him a brother.
2: Sabo dies
seeing how Luffy and Ace are forgiving people i at this point am leaning towards the 2nd possibility
of course i could of missed some other reason so i could be wrong altogether

Also i am prett sure oda said that one piece will go on for onther 10 years after the 1st 10 years happened which makes the war just after the middle of the manga.

Gold roger will be huge and in the background though luffy and ace standing side by side each other and so on.

I disagree. Oda has been saying that he's coming up on the midpoint for a while, and if you look at the story it makes sense. Luffy and crew are going into the New World. Besides Whitebeard's death inspired a "second wave" and this definitely has the feeling of the midpoint.

Well we will have to wait and see. Because the way things are going there are too many important characters in the story that haven't done that much. To me it feels like it could go on for a very very long time.

Also... I never knew, "The best selling comic: One Piece by Eiichiro Oda, more than 180 million copies domestically."

Seems like a lot of mods became admins lately. Or maybe I'm just seeing things.
But that is cool though.

And I decided to buy vol. 1 of the manga. Couldn't help it. Even if they changed some names like Marines to Navy, it's not a huge deal to me.

I just wanted to own something that's One Piece. lol

Poor Sabo! He's learning firsthand what it means for the stuck up, prejudice 'high class' nobles to be so corrupt that they are indifferent to the deaths of the innocent poor. He had no prior education about prejudice or whatever... He's just seeing this craziness firsthand.

Hehe, how fitting for Ace and Luffy to be caught in a huge fire

On page 12 on mangastream.... Someone noted that the wind was unusually strong, and for a bunch of pages leading to the end of the chapter, you could constantly see the wind blowing... Honestly, I had a strong feeling that Dragon was gonna appear and it was awesome to see at the end that I was right. Great storytelling.

Really good chapter, full of plot, theme, and manliness.

I wonder if that lady with the heels calling Dragon "babe" is Luffy's mother?
