Getting grabbed by him is great because

1) you acutely feel why you got grabbed (or hit in general)
2) he does amazing things that do not make sense

That man needs a combo video of his friendly mode

So I'm really trying to get more people in my community to get into smash has heavily as I have, and I guess the first step would be host weekly (Bi-Weekly?) smash fests. but beyond that I want to figure out a way to get more of them to improve, now I understand that learning smash is no easy feat. But I mean finding ways to break their really bad habits of just rolling and smashing. any ideas?

Just explain it to them why it sucks, but that also requires that you really understand why it sucks.

Also try to zone in on the more competitive ones rather than the more laid back ones. The ones who want to get better are the easiest to get to improve, it's just positive reinforcement from there on. Make sure that they've got combo bait to play against, people at their level, and then a personal goal.

It'll progress if you just nurture it right, but ya, the best way to convince people not to do terrible things is to make them understand why it's terrible.

Well I guess I'd want to invite a mix of the "non-competitive" and the "competitive" people, and get them to play each other on and off, to provide said combo bait.

I am so in love with The Flashbulb. I can't even move on to different albums cause the one I'm stuck on is so good.
