Basically, it's a two on two battle against you and one of your teammates against your opponent and one of their teammates. IF YOU LOSE, BOTH YOU AND YOUR TEAMMATE WILL BE OUT OF THE COMPETITION BUT IF YOU WIN, YOU JUST KNOCKED OUT HALF OF ONE OF THE OPPOSING TEAMS. No, a double switch occurs so that two people outside the two teams will fight each other.

I think anyone not in a team now should be randomly placed in one. It wouldn't be fair if people made their team based on where they are in the bracket, meaning that they would ensure that they don't end up facing a team mate in the 2nd round

Fair point. Also, shouldn't the spots taken up by those who've forfeited be opened so that people can join? Otherwise some teams are gonna be at an auto disadvantage.

Edit: Also, Mr. T07 is banned and Riku 00 dropped out, I believe. I'm 90% certain that that was in the past several dozen pages.

I already made a note of it. Regarding the forfeits, signups have been so slow that I'm just going to stay the course. Although I said the team formations will be random, I will keep in mind who has already dropped out and form teams according to such. For example, I plan on putting the first four people who dropped out on a team as not to weigh anyone else down.

Everyone was placed in randomly.
The brackets were not placed by one member in each bracket of any sort.
No team got placed perfectly where they wanted. You have to work through that.

Although, it was originally stated that there would only be one winner and each would have to cross paths eventually. He even said we might end up fighting a team mate on the first round. The way the brackets came out were completely expected beforehand. As a TEAM its your duty to work out the problems encountered.

i wouldve thought that at least you get to fight in R1 someone who is NOT in my team.
and as a team leader im gonna surrender to my other teammates cause we are not gonna double cross each other.

It's obviously to not give one team an obvious advantage, if you put all the best players in the world in one team. (Cough team daze) and each member goes into a different bracket, it's assumed they'll win that bracket.

Like I said before, the concept of "team" is very loose in this tournament. You're mostly fending for yourself in order to get the best prize. Also, I set it up this way so that one team wouldn't completely dominate the competition. If the teams didn't fight each others members, we'd basically end up with one or two teams who would probably have the tournament in the bag by the quarter finals. Also, I'm giving away a total of 50 bucks for the grand prize so I'd like to have this tournment not be completely straight forward.
