Results never seem to indicate that tho. Maybe there is just a lack of top level 's these days. also has less super hard counters compared to (/).

Mr.Flaoc was there and he was taller than all the Marth mains.

Obviously a character's placement in the tier list should be reflective of the tallest person who uses said character.

Meanin Ganon would be pretty high because of Vermanubis, but not higher than Flaoc.

Everyone's a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to 'spam' though. Everyone wants to take a jab about any little thing (inb4 something about jabs -.-) that derails topics and gives a reason for others to throw in their spam because 'well they're getting away with it, better make it worse'. We've got a situation where 100% of this topic/Brawl Tactical Discussion is the same circle jerk of sporadic quality posts with major detail of utterly useless crap. If the community wanted better here, they'd help promote the environment for it. Changes in systems and forum structure are truly needed, but getting the deities to agree to anything is basically impossible.

If I/someone else wanted to go down the hard line, we could. But I would say the effort would be mostly wasted because any attempt of hardline in the past lasts about 5 minutes before another new smart ass (hurr I'll post like an idiot and then be all itrollu [even worse the people who believe the stuff they post isn't asanine]) comes in who'll argue until their blue in the face of the injustice of our censorship or punishment systems - "my opinion is worth something; always."

The Brawl/Smash community has an awkwardly diverse demographic ranging from highschool kids who cannot count to the successful university graduates/responsible mature adults. It's a lot easier and natural to lower our standards to the lowest common denominator rather than uphold them We let things degenerate to this point.

I always thought Marth was above Falco in the tier list as after Falco's chaingrab, Falco relies on his lasers to rack damage up until his opponent reaches absurdly high damage. Falco's problem (in my mind) is his lack of KO options and poor recovery. Falco's main way to KO is to gimp with either DAIR or BAir. Marth does rely on gimping for kills to, but has more options to gimp and can kill with utilt.

It's nothing to do with fear. I don't believe the solution at this point is to infract/ban people when those systems are basically redundant as they currently are.

If users ignored the crap posted here, maintaining a higher standard, then it would be a lot easier to differentiate between crap and otherwise, hence easier to eradicate the problem(s). But please find me the example of a regular user of this thread who isn't themselves a common contributor to the problems in here in any varying degree.

I think Ramin and Leon are both better than every Falco but DEHF, but DEHF doesn't regularly attend the same events so it is hard to place them.
I guess thinking about results Marth is higher than Falco... so I can't really argue there...
I'm still going to say Pikachu's higher than ZSS, but not by as much as I thought. Watching Eric play MKs hurts my head.

Yes but, the tallest Ganon user is 6'4"

Where as the tallest DDD main is 6'9"

And the tallest Jigglpuff is 6'7"

And the tallest ROB is 6'8"

No, like seriously though. I was getting ready to write a big ass reply as to why pikachu's good, but the longer I went on typing, the more I started to realize that I don't even fully understand this character. Like, I can state the obvious, like how all his aerials function, or how good his approaches are, but I feel there's some stuff that only pikachu mains get.

On top of his mobility, nice disjoint, and good offense, he just has so many little tricks and gimmicks that make him that much better, that really only pikachu mains can understand him fully. Ahhh.

I know Falco's kill with usmash, but I did not list it as it is not an early kill move and liveable to certain extent. The other moves kill/gimp early enough and are Falco's better options to me. Falco's BDacus and Dacus tho can make his (to me) mediocre/god awful usmash usable. Snake, KD3, DK and other heavies do not really fear Falco's usmash, but the other moves I listed are scary.

and falco doesn't kill well. his usmash and usually fsmash don't kill mids til higher than 120. he does rely on gimps for earlier kills, which can make killing harder against heavies with good recoveries.

What makes you/people think ICs are still number 2? After seeing some ICs get dismantled on the Apex top 8 stream, I don't think they're nearly as close to MK as they used to be, and I've always believed that people just failed at actually abusing the holes I think exist in their game-plan. Not to say they aren't powerful, but I don't see glass-cannon characters as number 2.

Marf is worse than Flaoc... 2 of the top 3 Falcos don't play anymore/reside in Japan (SLS and Masha). Meanwhile Leon and Ramin are two of the top 3 Marfs so comparing their results is kind of hard. Also if you were to ask Larry in the past he'd often say he was the third best falco (I thought 2nd but w/e). Still comparing results is always weird. I mean based on results, not just in America but also Japan it'd make sense to put ZSS at like 4th, 5th, or 6th even yet nobody ever puts her that high.

If you look at results from all nationals, not just Apex, ICs are by far the most consistent character after MK, and theres only like 3 good IC players. ICs had a bad showing at Apex, yes, but look at any other top tier aside from MK and theyve had even more bad showings. One tournament =/= everything, ICs are far more consistent overall.

Yes we know your brother got 3rd, but most people consider ESAM a Pika not an IC.

Pretty sure ESAM won most (if not all) of his matches with ICs, and not Pika. Too bad the bracket's not up tho, but I do remember him saying that he was gonna go ICs against MK rather than Pika...which is what he did in top 8 until he was down 2-0 with ICs in LFs and realized that trying out Pika was probably the best choice.

Also ICs was the 2nd highest placing char at Apex, and the only char (other than MK obv) to take more than 1 spot in top 8. And ****** be like ICs didn't do well at Apex. You know who didn't do well at Apex? Olimar.

ESAM is definitely an ICs main. Do you seriously think he could place as well as he does with Pika lol? If he didnt have ICs youd never see him make top 8 at any national nowadays.
