I was discovered..... No but DK does have range/options, just not his smashes (bar his dsmash as it is easier to lead into that smash).

Also if you're not actually trolling I can let you know now that DK's close range melee options are not good. Definitely below average, but not terrible. At mid-range, DK has fairly good options (ftilt, downB, run up and RAR bair) but once you get inside the range where most chars can punish ftilt/downB on block, DK really suffers. His jab is like moderately high risk (due to being slow and unsafe on shield/whiff) and low-medium reward (unless the opponent's at kill% and you tipper the jab), his grab is slow and has bad range, and everything else is slow and unsafe on block and can be shielded more-or-less on reaction.

Also for the record 1PokeMastr is like bess DK in Canada (probably, maybe Attila The Hun from NS) so he knows what he's talking about.

I know who 1Pokemastr is. Just cuz I talk to him casually and say things that he would not agree with, does not mean that I do not know know who he is. Yes I know DK lacks true OoS options, but I am talking about mid range that is where DK truly strives. U-tilt is an option I like and dtilt as well (pretty much all of DK's tilts at mid range are not horrible). I use the copter sometimes (mainly on sidestep happy foes), but since it can be punishable, people don't like the option. A quick/instant PG can help increase the range.

Attila has said that I'm better than him because I have more MU knowledge than he does, but he might still be better than me anyway.

And don't forget about Dk's side b approach.

Are you talking about the footstool Headbutt or the cape slide variant with head butt used instead?
Off topic: I wish I could face Ripple though. He apparently lives close to the university I go to and he used to go to the tournaments held there. People said he usually got like Top 4. I have been getting Top 4:chuckle:.

Headbutt has never been one of my favorite moves. I rarely use it. For an aggro enemy, I either do a walk away (walk in opposite direction to let your opponent come close to you) reverse f-smash or a walk away reverse headbutt. Sometimes, in desperation and mixups sake, for landing purposes. I know the Headbutt devastates shields when used in the air, but is it really that useful? I mean that end lag just seems like it is not so helpful, but that is just my opinion.

Never underestimate the power of run up -> Side B.

Side B OoS works great too.

I must be getting trolled. Heaadbutt OoS and run up Headbutt are not going to be used by me since the lag is too much.

Hmm. Getting Top 4=losing? Just because I don't want your advice does not mean I am going to lose. In fact if I take your advice, I am going to lose. If you are facing a Wario, MK, or a ZSS, how does running up Headbutting sound? If that sounds plausible in your mind , then you shall be the one losing. Trying to force someone to play a completely different style is not advisable, especially when the changing the style is trying to integrate a move that has an extremely risk with a decent reward.

Welp.

Let's get back on topic.

And by "on topic" I mean not talking about ****ty characters like DK.

And I think you all know what that means, so I'll let somebody else bring it up.

It's Shiny Mewtwo aka Jigglysir. You would be correct.

Also, Will doesn't headbutt as a [consistent] approach and he wins. SMakaJ's logic is empirically denied.
Thanks. Needed that verification. Let's now talk about how MK is overrated and how Jigglypuff is top tier material.

Well seeing as how you bothered to say top 4 rather than top 1, I assume that means you didn't get 1st.

And if you didn't get 1st then you lost twice.

So yes. Top 4=losing.
He meant "is top 4 a bad position?".
You probably did that on purpose to troll but... just in case...just in case you weren't trolling...

Yes I got 2nd and 4th at the tournaments I went to. I mean Ripple got to top 4 (don't know if he got 1st as the people never told me) and I feel happy, not satisfied, if I tied with Ripple.

Being top 4 ≠ (as in not necessarily) tieing with Ripple.
What tells us you didn't just went on some scrubby tournament and managed to get top 4 despite all those scrubby players who happened to mash dat c-stick down that makes everyone mad?
And who's Ripple?
I can't remember players that are specifically placed 4th.

Ripple was a Brawl player who now plays Melee.... foolish people do not know the truth. A lot of local tournaments are scrubby yet in every rough there is a diamond. All these shots are being fired as if the people firing them can actually play. Man up if you want to call people scrubs, otherwise stfu.

But we can play.
Except for me.
I mean, i can't really tell, but im bad.
But that does not stop me from stating about how wrong you are about local tournaments.
There never was a diamond in those kinds of stuff.

Local.
Tournaments.
Are.
Trubbish.

Not at that time. MY parents do not support me playing games, no tournament is close enough to me, and I do not know any anyone in the Smash community that would be willing to help a brother out. Until at least 2 of those issues are resolved, locals are all I am going to see, (maybe after med school or during, but who knows).

Ripple is Midwest. Illinois or Iowa or something. One of those states that starts with an I.

Also yeah, Ripple wasn't that great lol.
He's from Illinois. People say he is from Champaign (close to my university). Ripple was one the premier DKs (tho people argue if it ain't Will, then it don't matter) when he was playing Brawl. Now Ripple is either a mediocre Melee player of a supersenior at my university. I am from Illinois too (closer to Chicago, but still 1 hour away from Chicago). I look for tournaments in the Midwest, and there are some, but my parents have so much of hold on me that I can't go to any of them.

I won a tournament once. I'm still terrible at brawl.

You won the ingame tournament, the one with CPUs.

I won a local tournament in I think 2011
