Ok, first of all, Square getting a character in is friggin' slim. However, there ARE better reps... including: Cecil Harvey, Terra Branford, Black Mage and Montblanc, among others. Kthnxbai.

It doesn't matter if you like Krystal, all I wanted to say is that she isn't that likely solely due to Starfox not needing four characters, especially if the quality of the Starfox games don't improve. I know I haven't been on these boards for long at all, but I've lived on gamefaqs since just before the trailer revealing Fox was shown (Long before the dojo, six months after the first trailer).

Arguing that a franchise do/doesn't need a character is irrelevant. Metroid needed another rep. DK could use one. Heck, Mario is defiantly under represented due to it's popularity. It really doesn't matter.

Starfox characters are popular and people want to see them. Krystal stands a really good chance.

Actually, Megaman is bigger than Cloud. Cloud doesn't even hit the radar of what character most people would like in Smash.

Cloud will never be a smasher because his only role on a Nintendo console has been extremely minimal. Not only that, but FFVII really is not the best game ever. Don't get me wrong -- it's decent. Just not deserving of the hype.

Square's already put their characters in a game with Mario's characters, so I think the chances are a little bigger than slim. Granted, they were the ones who actually made the game, I think.

Yes he kills plenty of heartless, yes he saved all the worlds twice, but he should be the third, I still have nightmares about pressing buttons while he tried to sing under the sea, cloud is defiantly in one of the top 3 reps, I would say Warrior of light would most likely be an AT instead.

The ONLY reason Cloud was ON a Nintendo Console was because of Sora, even though I despise Sora with all my being, you owe Sora credit for Clouds appearance on a Ninteno console.

The only thing Cloud added to the FF series was 3-d graphics ,and character customization, but I say jobs count as customization also.

Anyway,the chances of a Square rep are VERY slim.

We agree on something kinda, I'm not counting on cloud to be in SSB, but don't you count out megaman. Cloud has as much chance as the thought of a square rep in SSB.
